🌄 Trail Thursdays — Episode 6: Backyard Trail at Sunset

Not every trail needs a map, a rig, or a weekend; some of the best ones start in your own backyard.

This Trail Thursday is a little different. No long miles, no campsite, no big adventure, just a short walk from the house to the backyard back in April to catch this sunset.

It was a good reminder that you don’t always have to go far to find something worth slowing down for. Not all trails have to be adventurous, dangerous, or miles long. Some of the best trails are the ones you take every day, right outside your back door.

Oscar at R&R feed and supply wanted greater visibility along Hwy 180 and a way to attract more people to the store. The problem was simple: too many drivers, not enough attention.

Our solution: custom-designed X-Large 18' feather flags, built for maximum visibility and to move with the wind. Now these advertising flags are out along the highway, catching eyes and pointing customers straight to the feed store.

Lynn came to us with a big idea for his truck and asked if we could design and wrap his tailgate. We said yes, then brainstormed and collaborated on concepts until he landed on this bold eagle design.

Once the design was finalized, we got to work printing and wrapping, and the finished tailgate was a complete success.

Welcome back to Trail Thursdays — Episode 5. 🌄

[Throwback — April 2012]

There's a stretch of I-5 that flattens out and goes on forever, and in April of 2012, that's exactly where we were, Jason and I, in our 2007 Nissan Xterra, pointed straight for the Mojave Desert.

No rooftop tent. No built-out shell. Just the two of us, a Coleman tent tossed in the back, homemade chicken jerky, fruit, nuts, and way more water than we needed, which out there is never a mistake.

We'd come for one thing: to try dispersed camping. No campground, no hookups, no neighbors. Pick a spot, set up, stay. One night. That was the whole plan.

And then the sunrise happened.

That first photo is my favorite from the whole trip, a single Joshua tree standing alone against all that wide, open quiet, the sky going pale over the desert floor. I can still feel how still it was out there. No traffic noise. No phones going off. Just the wind and the light moving across the scrub.

We packed up that morning, ate jerky on the drive home, and talked about coming back. One night. Well worth every mile.

Some trips you take for the rig. This one I took for the silence. 🌵

🚐✨ From AI Concept to Real-Life Wrap — Sequoia Auto Glass!

Our customer Tim Jackson came to us with a vision. He had used AI to generate a concept for his partial vehicle wrap, and honestly, it was a great starting point. Bold, sharp, exactly the direction he wanted to go.

But here's the thing about AI-generated designs: they're incredible for inspiration and concepts. What they can't do is get on your vehicle. 😄

That's where we come in.

Taking Tim's AI concept and turning it into a print- and installation-ready design required real brainstorming, real design expertise, and a deep understanding of how graphics translate from a screen to a 3D surface at full scale. Every curve, every edge, every panel transition has to be engineered for the real world, not just for a render.

The result? A custom partial vehicle wrap printed on 3M vinyl and installed right here on the mountain. 🏔️
