If someone sent you a fake invoice from your bank tomorrow, would you know? Would your team?

Most cybersecurity training is built for employees.

Don't click there.
Use a strong password.

All useful. All necessary.
But here's what doesn't get talked about:

The person most likely to be targeted at your company usually isn't an employee.

It's the owner.
The executive.
The person whose name carries weight and whose approval moves money.

Scammers know this. It's why so much fraud is built around impersonating leadership.

A fake email from "the CEO" asking for an urgent wire transfer works because employees don't want to question the person at the top.

And the person at the top often skips the training that would help them recognize it.

Here's the part that matters even more:
If you did click something, or send something, or realize after the fact that something felt off, would you tell anyone?

Most people wouldn't.

Not because they're careless.
Because the instinct is to quietly fix it and move on.

That gap, between something happening and someone saying something, is where small mistakes turn into real problems.

So. Would you know? Would your team?

If the honest answer is "probably not," that's not a failure.
It's just something worth changing.

If the words “IT company “make you wanna close the tab… I get it.

Most people avoid this conversation because they don’t know what they’re walking into

Here’s the thing, though… The first conversation with us isn’t what you’re expecting.

No pitch. No pressure. Just a few honest questions about your business and a clearer picture of where you actually stand.

That’s it. That’s all it is.

If you’ve been putting this off… This might be the nudge 🔒

There’s a massive gap between what IT people say and what business owners actually need to hear.
So I’m closing it.

No jargon. No fear tactics.
Just plain English from someone who works inside a cybersecurity company and knows what business owners actually need to know.

Follow along if you’ve been meaning to sort this out 🔒

Business owners, ‘nothing has broken yet’ is NOT the same as ‘everything is fine.’
The quickest risks are almost always the oldest ones.
When did your business last actually look?

Most teams don’t notice when the temporary fix becomes the standard procedure. It gets passed down.

Taught to new hires…
Written into how things just are.

Nobody made a bad decision.
The system just quietly hardened around a problem that was never solved.

That’s usually where we start.

Awareness isn't usually the problem.

Most leaders I talk to can name exactly what's off.
They've been watching it for months. Sometimes longer.

What keeps things stuck isn't confusion — it's the weight of what it means to finally address it.

That weight is real.
And it's also usually lighter than you're expecting once you pick it up.

What's yours?

Most businesses focus on identifying points of failure.
But in almost every environment we review, that’s not where the real cost is.
It’s in what never quite fails — but never quite works the way it should either.

Time lost. Processes that vary. Teams compensating.

Curious what that looks like in your environment? Let’s talk. 🔗 in bio

The workaround becoming the job isn't a people problem.
It's what happens when an organization gets good at tolerating friction instead of removing it.

The cost isn't dramatic.
It's just slower growth, higher turnover, decisions that take longer than they should, and leadership energy spent managing symptoms.

If something in your operation has felt quietly off for a while — that's worth a conversation.

DM me the word WORKAROUND and I'll send you the three questions I use to find where it started.
