DTC, Inc.- Technology Solutions

DTC, Inc.- Technology Solutions In a world where technology moves fast, DTC keeps the human connection at the heart of every solution.

For over 25 years, we’ve paired cutting-edge IT expertise with a people-first philosophy, delivering security & support that helps businesses thrive. Like most businesses, our genesis comes as a result of trying to solve a problem. Years ago, it became apparent that even though we live in one of the most technology advanced areas in the country, the options for IT support were not up to par. DTC,

originally Dental Technology Center, began to focus on providing IT support to the dental community. What started out as a few clients quickly spread to hundreds of practices, eventually solidifying DTC as the largest Dental IT support company in the Mid-Atlantic. Even though our list of clients has increased, DTC has made sure to not let our services slip. Continually adding qualified team members and investing in software have been the reasons why we have stayed on top.

Outdated IT in a dental practice doesn't always look like a crisis...

More often than not, it looks like:
• The imaging software that takes four minutes to load
• The workstation everyone avoids because it's 'slow'
• The backup system nobody's tested since it was installed
• The unsupported OS your PMS vendor warned you about

More than minor annoyances, these are compounding risks.

Outdated systems are the most common ransomware entry point in small healthcare environments. Why? Because unsupported software means no security patches.

The cost of updating feels significant until you compare it to the average cost of a healthcare breach.

Most practices aren't dramatically behind. They're incrementally behind. That's the version that sneaks up on you.

The best IT relationships in dental practices are the ones you barely notice.
Everything just works. The PMS opens when it's supposed to. Imaging doesn't crash mid-patient. Backups run overnight. When something does go wrong, someone answers the phone.

What good managed IT looks like in practice:
• Proactive monitoring: problems caught before they interrupt your schedule
• Compliance: HIPAA-aligned security policies
• Vendor management: one call instead of five
• Real humans: who understand how dental offices actually operate

Not every IT provider knows the difference between Dentrix and Eaglesoft, or why a PMS outage at 9am is a five-alarm situation.

We do. It's what we've been doing for more than a quarter of a century.

We've been doing managed IT and cybersecurity for over a quarter of a century.

Which means we've seen a lot of "new requirements" come and go — and we know which ones actually stick.

CMMC is one of those.

We work with small and mid-size businesses in the defense supply chain who are navigating it for the first time. What that gives our clients, practically, is this:

We already know the terrain.

We've seen how CMMC plays out in real, small DIB environments.
We follow the rule changes so our clients don't have to.
And we don't treat CMMC like a side project we're learning alongside you.
Generalist IT providers often figure CMMC out as they go.

We already know where the potholes are.
If you're a defense contractor trying to figure out where to start, or whether your current IT setup is actually going to hold up, we're worth a conversation.

Some firewalls are made of code. Others were made of something far greater.
This Memorial Day, we paused the work of protecting networks to honor those who protected something far more important.

Thank you to all who served, and to the families who carry that weight.

Using AI tools in your business? Most companies are.

Here's what catches small defense contractors off guard:

If an AI tool touches any data connected to a DoD contract, there are CMMC implications.

Most popular commercial AI platforms don't meet FedRAMP Moderate, which is required for CUI environments. That turns a helpful tool into a compliance gap. Fast. Yikes!

Ask the questions.

Today is National Rescue a Dog Day, and we couldn't let it pass without introducing some very important members of the DTC family.

Our team is proud to share their homes (and their hearts) with rescue dogs -- proof that the best things in life really do find you when you least expect it. If you're thinking about adding a furry family member, check out our friends at -- they do incredible work finding dogs (and cats!) forever homes right here in Maryland.

Happy from our pack to yours. 🐾

The front desk is the heartbeat of a dental practice.
It's also, statistically, where most cyberattacks begin.

Not because front desk staff are careless, but because they're busy, frequently interrupted, and constantly handling emails, calls, and patient requests simultaneously.

That's exactly the environment attackers design for.

Cybersecurity training for dental office staff isn't about making people paranoid. It's about giving them a simple framework: pause, verify, report.

How long has it been since your team had a cybersecurity refresher? https://www.dtctoday.com/contact/

Peripheral neuropathy affects millions...yet many cases go undiagnosed early.

It often begins with subtle symptoms like numbness, tingling, or burning in the hands and feet, and can progress if left unaddressed.

Early recognition and intervention can help slow progression, reduce discomfort, and improve quality of life.

Awareness isn’t just information. It’s prevention.
