Create a Broadband Vertical

Using one CHA SS17 and the included CHA HYBRID-MINI or CHA HYBRID-MICRO, operators can create an MPAS Lite-style broadband vertical.

The included 25-foot wire can be used as a counterpoise, creating a highly portable broadband HF antenna suitable for:

* POTA
* SOTA
* EMCOMM
* HOA operation
* Camping
* Off-grid communications
* Rapid deployment

Create an End-Fed Antenna

Disconnect the 25-foot wire from the Delta Loop and connect it directly to the CHA HYBRID-MINI or CHA HYBRID-MICRO.

Now you have a compact broadband end-fed antenna.

Need more wire?

Simply substitute a longer wire.

* 30-foot wire
* 60-foot wire
* 73-foot wire
* Custom wire lengths

Create Broadband Dipoles

By using two equal-length wire elements connected to the CHA HYBRID-MINI or CHA HYBRID-MICRO, operators can create broadband dipole antennas.

Examples include:

* Two 30-foot wires
* Two 60-foot wires
* Two 73-foot wires

This allows operators to build broadband dipoles optimized for available space, desired operating bands, and propagation conditions.

Create a Windom (Off-Center Fed) Antenna

The MPAS READY ecosystem can also support one of the most popular multi-band wire antennas ever developed.

Using approximately 44 feet of wire on one side and 22 feet on the other, operators can build a 66-foot Windom or Off-Center Fed (OCF) antenna using the same CHA HYBRID-MINI or CHA HYBRID-MICRO.

This configuration typically performs very well on:

* 40 Meters
* 20 Meters
* 10 Meters
* 6 Meters

And often performs effectively on:

* 17 Meters
* 15 Meters

with an internal antenna tuner.

Again, the same core MPAS READY components unlock yet another antenna system.

Add the CHA V-DIPOLE Kit

Now things become even more interesting.

The CHA V-DIPOLE Kit transforms the TDL’s broadband V-Dipole into a resonant V-Dipole covering 40 through 6 meters.

The two included CHA M-COIL loading coils allow the SS17 telescopic whips to efficiently operate on the lower HF bands, creating a compact, portable, resonant antenna system that requires no antenna tuner in most operating situations.

Create a Resonant Vertical

The value of the CHA V-DIPOLE Kit extends beyond the V-Dipole itself.

The included CHA M-COIL loading coils can also be used with an SS17 whip to create a resonant vertical antenna similar to the CHA BV.

The CHA V-DIPOLE is a compact, resonant portable HF antenna system designed to transform existing Chameleon Antenna MPAS READY and Tactical Delta Loop components into a highly capable portable “V” Dipole covering 40 through 6 meters.

Built around the modular MPAS READY ecosystem philosophy, the CHA V-DIPOLE allows operators to reuse many of the same components they may already own — including SS17 telescopic whips, loading coils, HUB assemblies, mounting systems, adapters, and tripods — to rapidly configure a completely different portable antenna system tailored to their operating mission.
