A client asked me to catch the problems on her site before her staff did.

Fair ask. And "we'll keep an eye on it" is not an answer to it.

So here's the problem. WordPress and its plugins push security patches constantly, and we apply them, because not applying them is worse. Every so often one of those updates nudges how a page renders, or leaves cached styles out of sync with the new code. The page looks fine the moment you patch it. It shifts the next day when the cache turns over.

That stays invisible until a human happens to load the right page on the right device. Usually that human is a customer.

So I built Publysh Watch.

Every night it screenshots your pages on desktop, tablet and phone, compares them against yesterday, and flags anything that moved. It also checks broken links, missing images, dead buttons and content that has gone stale.

The part that matters is where it reports. It comes to us at 6am. Not to you. We fix what it finds and you get the summary after.

You should not have to be the QA department for your own website.

It's live on one site right now. We have built 300+ sites since 2007, and every one we still manage is next.

What broke on your site last, and who found it?

The dangerous thing about AI is not that it gets things wrong. It is that it sounds equally confident either way, in your voice, to your customer.

Example. Someone asks what a repair typically costs. That number is nowhere on your site. A model with no instruction makes one up, because producing something is what it does. That is the danger.

So ours does not answer. It flags the question and asks you for the real number, which is a smaller promise than most AI tools make and a more useful one.

A tool that admits a gap can be left running. One that fills gaps has to be checked forever.

Where does somebody in your business guess rather than admit the gap?

Most business websites are written like a brochure. Set the scene, build the case, land the point at the end.

That is the worst possible format for getting quoted by AI, because a model can only lift a passage that stands alone.

When someone asks ChatGPT what a repair costs, the model needs a passage it can lift that answers the question on its own. If yours only makes sense after three paragraphs of setup, it takes the answer from whoever wrote plainer.

Free fix: take your five most common customer questions. Put each on your site as a heading in the customer's words, with the answer directly underneath.

What question do you answer ten times a week that is nowhere on your site?

Everyone is talking about showing up in AI answers. Almost nobody can tell you whether their work did anything.

Two things are actually measurable.

Are the AI crawlers reaching your pages. They announce themselves when they visit, and there are 13 worth watching including GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot.

Are people arriving from those assistants. A click from a ChatGPT answer carries a referral you can count like any other.

Honest note: the numbers are small for most local businesses right now. Measured and small still beats imagined and large.

Anyone tracking this yet?

08/21/2026

Some businesses are invisible to ChatGPT because of a setting nobody remembers turning on.

Your site has a robots.txt file telling automated visitors what they can read. Plenty of hosts and security plugins added a blanket rule blocking anything bot shaped. That also blocks GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot, which is how those assistants read your pages. That is an accident, not a decision.

Ten second check. Type your domain plus slash robots dot txt in a browser and read it.

Most businesses are sitting on something they already paid for and stopped using.

A blog that got built and abandoned. Review requests that fell out of the closing process. A customer list nobody has emailed in years.

Restarting those costs nothing, because you are not buying new attention. You are picking up something already paid for.

Start here. Write down the last ten questions a customer asked you. Each one is a page that works for you forever, and you already know the answer.

What did you pay for and stop using?

"It does not sound like us." Every time. And the model is not the problem.

You gave it a description of your business instead of your business. Direct, friendly, professional. Those words mean something totally different to a machine.

What you would hand a new hire is different: the price sheet, the service list, the warranty terms, the questions customers ask constantly. Publysh takes that upload once and writes every draft against your actual facts.

What does your business call something that everyone else in your industry calls something else?

08/13/2026

Your content plan is not going to fail at the writing. It is going to fail at Thursday.

We see it constantly. Four posts written, reviewed, ready. Then publishing becomes somebody's job to remember, and that somebody has a real job. Post one goes live. The rest drift.

Publysh uses a queue and a schedule instead, because a task depends on somebody remembering. You pick the days and times. An hourly check publishes the next approved draft when a slot arrives. Nobody has to remember.

Where is your process resting on somebody's memory?

08/12/2026

"AI wrote a blog post" could mean four hollow paragraphs or something genuinely useful. Here is the specific version.

A Publysh draft is roughly 2,500 words, with a TL;DR block, FAQ sections, schema markup so search engines and AI can read the page, internal links to your other pages, and a featured image.

Look at that list again. Most of it is not writing. It is the checklist stuff everybody skips at 9pm.

That is the real argument. The machine does not get tired at item six.

Built by Lemon Head Design. publysh.ai

What do you always skip when the day is nearly over?

08/11/2026

"It publishes on its own" is not a feature. It is how a website ends up quoting prices you changed two years ago.

We have cleaned that up before. Tool gets turned on, everyone forgets, and months later the blog is full of posts nobody at the business ever read.

So Publysh does the opposite by default, because the risk was never bad writing. It is unread writing. Every draft lands as a normal WordPress draft, in the editor your team already uses, and it sits there until a person opens it. Nothing reaches the publish queue unless a human put it there.

Publysh is the app we built at Lemon Head Design. publysh.ai
