Designed for kids and teens ages 8-18, OontzKids helps kids to channel their passion for great music by using real DJ tools to learn the fundamentals of becoming a great DJ.

Level 1
Learn what a DJ does and why it's so importa
nt. Through hands-on experience with real hardware (Pioneer DJ Controllers) and software (Rekordbox DJ), students will learn the principles of beats, bars, tempos, and beat matching, and using fundamental tools like looping, filters, hot cues, and effects to seamlessly transition from one carefully selected track to the next, eventually preparing to perform a live set.
On the final day of camp, students will get the chance to show off what they've learned in a special performance for friends and family.
All equipment is provided including controllers and laptops loaded with hundreds of songs from all genres. Students are welcome to bring their favorite music on a USB drive and incorporate it into their mixing practice.
Level 2
Dive deeper into track analysis and selection, music library management, performance setup and requirements, and advanced techniques used by the pros- cue juggling, slicing, sampling, and sequencing, among others.
