Lately, I’ve been finding little reasons to pick up my camera, even when there’s nothing particularly interesting happening.

The way the afternoon light settles across our dining table. A coffee being made. The beautiful mess of a home with three little boys running around. Even a toy truck sitting in the sunlight.

I’ve been filming these ordinary pieces of our life in Apple Log 2 on my iPhone 17 Pro Max, then experimenting with color grading to see how much feeling I can bring into each frame.

I’m still learning. Still experimenting. Still figuring out what I like.

And I think that’s my favorite part of creating right now. 💜

Hey guys, little experiment: I wanted to see if the same principles I learned in DaVinci Resolve would work in Premiere Pro using adjustment layers like nodes. And I’m really liking what I’m seeing. What’s crazy is how much my eyes have changed over these past 5 to 6 weeks. When I look back at footage I graded before, everything looks washed out and flat now. I naturally see the world vibrant, that’s just how my eyes work, but getting that to come across in video has been the hard part. Slowly getting the hang of it. And honestly I’m excited because this means I’m not locked into one program. Premiere is home for me, so knowing the principles carry over? Love me down. Yes, I forgot to clean my lens before this one. We’re just gonna let that be part of the story. 😭
