At Cotiviti, Pride Month is more than a celebration—it's an opportunity to reflect, learn, and grow together. We're proud to support our LGBTQ+ colleagues and community members by spotlighting the contributions they’ve made to progress across industries and throughout history.

We kicked off our Pride Month events with a Lunch and Learn session called Guiding Lights: LGBTQ+ Contributions to Progress and Innovation. This 30-minute discussion explored the stories of trailblazers who have helped shape our world and encourage us to build a brighter future.

We're looking forward to learning together as we continue fostering a workplace where everyone feels valued and supported.

Earlier this month, members of our Black Employee Success Team (BEST) employee resource group represented Cotiviti at Career Day at Eddie Bernice Johnson STEM Academy in Dallas, Texas. Engaging with eager second graders, they shared about their career journeys and the impact of their roles at Cotiviti in human resources, benefits, and medical coding.

Thank you to Nicole Richardson, Sharonica Boston, and Shay Williams for participating, along with our Talent Acquisition team for providing Cotiviti swag—this truly made the students’ day!

Events like these allow us to inspire the next generation while showcasing the meaningful work we do to improve the healthcare system.

During Women’s History Month, we celebrate trailblazers who have shaped the world in ways that often go unrecognized. One such pioneer is Dr. E. Kitch Childs, a Black feminist, psychologist, and LGBTQ+ activist who dedicated her life to uplifting marginalized communities.

She earned her PhD in human development from the University of Chicago in the 1970s, becoming one of the few Black women in the field at the time. She helped found the Association for Women in Psychology and used her expertise to provide therapy for women, LGBTQ+ individuals, and people living with HIV/AIDS—offering care and understanding in a world that often denied them both.

Dr. Childs' legacy is one of inclusion and persistence. This Women’s History Month, in partnership with Cotiviti’s Women’s Inclusiviti Network (WIN), we honor her and continue working for a more just world.

In continuation of our Black History Month series celebrating African-American contributions to the labor movement, we honor Maida Spring Kemp (1910–2005), a pioneering labor organizer and international activist.

Born in Rio Sidra, Panama, Kemp moved to Harlem, New York, at the age of seven, where she became deeply involved in the labor movement during the Great Depression. As a member of the Dressmakers' Union, Local 22 of the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union (ILGWU), she fought for the rights and dignity of garment workers, many of whom were women of color.

Kemp made history in 1945 as the first Black woman to represent the U.S. labor movement overseas, traveling to Great Britain to observe wartime labor conditions. Her work extended globally, emphasizing solidarity across nations and the critical role of women in shaping fair labor practices.

Maida Spring Kemp’s dedication to justice and equity reminds us of the enduring impact of labor activism. Stay tuned this month as we continue to highlight leaders who transformed the labor movement, in collaboration with Cotiviti's Black Employee Success Team (BEST)!

During Black History Month, as we highlight African-American contributions to the labor movement, we turn our focus to A. Philip Randolph (1889–1979), a trailblazing labor leader and civil rights activist from Crescent City, Florida.

In 1925, Randolph founded the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters, the first predominantly African-American labor union to receive a charter in the American Federation of Labor. His unwavering dedication to labor rights helped elevate the voices of African-American workers and set a foundation for equality in the workplace.

Randolph's influence extended beyond labor. He was a driving force behind the 1963 March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., delivered his iconic "I Have a Dream" speech. His leadership also played a critical role in desegregating the defense industry and the military, breaking barriers for African-Americans across sectors.

Randolph’s work reminds us of the power of collective action and the importance of championing equity in labor. Stay tuned this month as we continue to honor African-American leaders who reshaped the labor movement, in collaboration with Cotiviti's Black Employee Success Team (BEST)!

Our recent Cotiviti Annual Day was a vibrant and joyous celebration, hosted once a year to bring the entire organization together and celebrate our collective successes. The event was held across all three of our locations in India—Pune, Hyderabad, and Coimbatore—providing an opportunity for employees to connect, bond, and create lasting memories.

The day was filled with incredible cultural performances by our talented employees, seamlessly hosted by our charismatic emcee, and supported by an enthusiastic team of volunteers working tirelessly behind the scenes. Members of our senior leadership team also traveled to join the celebrations.

Here's to continuing this wonderful tradition and celebrating more successes together!
