AI in cybersecurity: technology and human expertise, working together.

AI helps security systems analyze activity, identify suspicious patterns, and automate responses. Understanding its capabilities—and its limitations—helps businesses make informed decisions about their protection.

🔎 Detection still needs oversight.
Security tools can flag legitimate activity or miss a real threat. Experienced analysts help investigate findings, understand the circumstances, and determine what needs attention.

🔐 Data handling matters.
Businesses should understand what information their security tools collect, where it is processed, who can access it, and whether it is retained or used to train AI models. Those answers depend on the service, configuration, and contract.

🤝 How Computer Ties and AgileBlue bring these pieces together.
Computer Ties offers AgileBlue’s AI-powered detection and automated response, backed by a 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) with human cybersecurity analysts.

Automation handles routine analysis and response tasks, while analysts provide ongoing monitoring, investigation, and expert support. Combined with our local IT team, this gives businesses advanced security technology with people behind it.

No solution eliminates every risk. Combining capable tools, experienced professionals, and ongoing management creates a practical approach to protecting your business.

Your new office layout needs a cabling plan, too.

Before moving desks or finalizing a remodel, identify:

• Where workstations will sit.
• Which shared devices need wired connections.
• Where your IT provider plans to place Wi-Fi access points.
• Where future employees or equipment may need connections.

Planning early can help avoid awkward cable routes and extra work after furniture and finishes are in place.

Moving, remodeling, or adding workstations? Message PCS to discuss the cabling for your space.

A small label can save a lot of guesswork.

For business network cabling, give each cable run a clear identifier, match it at the wall jack and patch panel, and keep a simple record of where it goes.

Keep that information current when connections change. Cable colors can help with organization, but they don’t replace clear labels and documentation.

These details help technicians trace connections when you’re moving desks, adding equipment, or troubleshooting a problem.

At 8:46 a.m., we pause.

Twenty-five years ago, at this moment, the first plane struck the North Tower of the World Trade Center.

Today, Professional Communication Services remembers the lives lost on September 11, 2001, honors the courage of those who responded, and holds in our thoughts the families and communities forever changed.

May we carry forward the compassion, service, and unity shown in the days that followed.

We pause. We remember.

Today we observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day and take time to reflect on service, responsibility, and respect for others. Dr. King’s legacy reminds us that strong communities are built through care and accountability. Many of the facilities we support serve employees, customers, and the public every day. This day offers an opportunity to pause and recognize the importance of creating spaces where people feel protected and respected.

As a new year begins, PCS would like to thank the organizations and businesses we’ve worked with throughout the region. Security systems are often expected to work quietly in the background, but their reliability matters every day. Our focus remains on clear system design, dependable installation, and long-term functionality. The start of a new year is a good time to reflect on whether existing systems still align with how a space is used today. We appreciate the trust placed in our work and look forward to supporting safe environments in the year ahead.

This season we’re working with the CTi Tech Plaza family to give back to the children and families at Mott Children’s Hospital. A difficult medical journey is hard for any family, and the goal of this drive is to help lift spirits and bring moments of joy where they’re needed most. If you’d like to help, you can donate a new toy or gift and drop it off at CTi Tech Plaza, 2903 West Michigan Ave in Jackson through December 12th. A little generosity goes a long way.

The 4th of July reminds us of the incredible power of connection—across generations, across communities, across this vast country we call home. Freedom gives us the voice to speak, the right to be heard, and the ability to grow together.

Today we step back from the hustle to appreciate the things that truly matter: time with family, moments of reflection, and the simple joy of being part of something bigger than ourselves.

From all of us at PCS, enjoy a safe and meaningful Independence Day.
