Sometimes we're unlucky enough for our devices to come in contact with water. In situations like these, most put their device in rice and let it sit. The rice absorbs the water and if there isn't enough that remains to short two points, high chance the device will power on again. Although this method is widespread, I advise against it. Once water dries up, corrosion sets in and it can eat away at the components and cause issues down the line. Always have your device serviced right away should it be introduced to water
