SHARE - The Charter is the law. It requires elected‑official pay to be set by ordinance — not buried in a budget and not disguised as a “legislative fee.” If there’s no ordinance, the pay isn’t legally authorized. Taxpayers need to show up, fill the room, and demand answers every single meeting. City of South Daytona - Government Unequal compensation is clearly noted. Pulling from our stormwater and utility fund is clearly noted-  all records uploaded to the website I received from the City of South Daytona are not altered in any fashion. Buckle up- This is an issue every South Daytona resident should pay attention to. Our Charter requires that any salary change for the Mayor or City Council must be done by ordinance — not hidden in the annual budget, not slipped into payroll, and not added through internal policy.

Ordinances are the only legal way to approve pay changes because they force everything into the open: public notice, public hearings, and public accountability. That’s the LAW .

I will continue to advocate for our taxpayers — now from the floor, with the support of our residents. Your involvement matters. And I will continue to shine light where it is needed.

This is your city, your money, and your right to demand that compensation follows the law.
