We will put in a ticket... then crickets🦗🦗🦗
If you've ever found yourself wondering:
"Did they get it?"
"Is anyone working on it?"
"Do I need to follow up again?"
"What exactly am I paying for?"
You're not alone.
One of the biggest complaints I hear from business owners isn't that technology breaks. They understand that sometimes things happen.
It's the silence.
When communication stops, confidence stops with it.
A good IT partner doesn't just solve problems. They keep you informed. They acknowledge the issue, communicate progress, set expectations, and let you know when it's resolved.
Because nobody likes feeling like their request disappeared into a black hole.
Technology support shouldn't feel like sending a message into the void and hoping for the best.
Whether it's IT, accounting, legal services, or any other professional relationship, responsiveness matters.
What service phrase drives you crazy?
For me, it's:
"We'll put in a ticket..."
followed by
"crickets." 🦗
P.S. We absolutely use a ticketing system at NetSolutions. The ticket isn't the problem. The problem is when the customer starts wondering if the ticket is now living a happy, independent life somewhere in the wilderness. 🦗 😂
