🚗💨 We are back with Crossroads & County Lines! This week, we’re heading to northeast Indiana and the “County of 101 Lakes” — Steuben County!

🌊 Steuben County is known for its abundance of natural lakes, making it a favorite destination for boating, fishing, swimming, and soaking up some sunshine.

🛷 A winter adventure: Pokagon State Park is home to Indiana’s only refrigerated toboggan run! The quarter-mile track features dips, valleys, and a 90-foot vertical drop, with riders reaching speeds of up to 42 mph. Talk about a Hoosier thrill ride!

🎓 College spotlight: Steuben County is also home to Trine University in Angola. Founded in 1884, Trine’s beautiful 450-acre campus has grown into a university serving more than 13,000 students from around the world.

💻 We’re proud to work alongside Steuben County since 2024 and support the people behind the scenes who keep their local government running. It’s relationships with Indiana communities like this that make our work so meaningful.

Today we celebrated two very special people here at Low Associates! ☺️

At the end of this calendar year, Kelly Low and Tom Greenway will be retiring. Both have served at Low Associates for 50 years! (Yes, you read that right!) 🤩

Today was a day of celebrating a collective century of service, dedication, and leadership. We are so thankful for these two and all the hard work they have done over these 50 years to help make Low what it is today. 🖥

Sending the warmest and best retirement wishes to Kelly and Tom as they begin this next new chapter! ⛳✈️🗺️☀️

October is here, the leaves are just starting to change here in South Bend, IN and we are celebrating 1 staff birthday this month!

Happiest of birthdays to Lori L. (10/18) who has served at Low Associates for 18 years! 🎂🎈 I guess you could call this her Low golden birthday! 😄 We are thankful for her many years of dedication and hard work! 💪

🚗💨 Crossroads & County Lines: We’ve Arrived in LaPorte County! 🌊

This week, our journey across the Hoosier State takes us north to LaPorte County, where Indiana meets the shores of Lake Michigan!

🌊 A taste of the lakeshore: LaPorte County is home to Michigan City, where beaches, Lake Michigan views, and part of the Indiana Dunes National Park give this Indiana county a coastal feel all its own.

💡 A beacon of history: Michigan City’s iconic East Light was built in 1904 and is Indiana’s only public operating lighthouse! Its historic elevated “catwalk” once helped lighthouse keepers safely make their way out to the light tower.

🎓 College spotlight: LaPorte County is also home to Purdue University Northwest’s Westville campus, one of PNW’s two Northwest Indiana campuses.

💻 Our connection to LaPorte County goes back to 1997! For nearly three decades, Low Associates has had the privilege of partnering with the county and supporting the important work happening in their local government. Relationships like this are a big part of why we love doing what we do.

Today, on Patriot Day, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the courage of the first responders, service members, and everyday Americans who stepped forward in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

Twenty-five years later, we remember the lives forever changed, the heroes who answered the call, and the unity our nation found in the days that followed.

May we never forget.

Our Low Associates road trip continues through Indiana with a stop in Kosciusko County!

🌊 Lake life is a big deal here! Kosciusko County is home to more than 100 lakes and streams, making it a favorite Indiana destination for boating, fishing, and enjoying life on the water.

🦴 Did you know? Warsaw, the county seat, is known as the “Orthopedic Capital of the World” thanks to its long history and major presence in the orthopedic medical device industry.

🎓 College spotlight: Kosciusko County is also home to Grace College in beautiful Winona Lake! Its 180-acre campus is tucked into a historic lakeside community filled with trails, shops, restaurants, and plenty of Hoosier charm.

💻 Kosciusko County has been a Low Associates customer since 1995 and were our 3rd customer! We’re grateful for the opportunity to serve Kosciusko County and communities throughout Indiana, year after year.

🚗💨 Crossroads & County Lines: Our first stop — Brown County! 🌲

We’re kicking off our Crossroads & County Lines road trip in one of Indiana’s most scenic destinations: Brown County!

🍂 Home to Brown County State Park, Indiana’s largest state park at nearly 16,000 acres, this beautiful corner of the Hoosier State is known for its rolling hills, scenic overlooks, and famous fall foliage.

🎨 The town of Nashville, Brown County’s charming county seat, has long been a haven for artists, locally owned shops, galleries, and visitors looking for a little small-town Indiana charm. In fact, Brown County’s rich artistic history helped earn the area its reputation as the “Art Colony of the Midwest.”

💻 And here’s one of our favorite facts: Brown County has been part of the Low Associates family since 2020! We’re proud to serve Brown County and communities across Indiana as they serve the people who call them home
