One of our drivers got a message recently from someone he'd driven months earlier, back in the spring.

She wasn't asking for anything. She just wanted to say it had gone perfectly and she'd been meaning to thank him.

Think about the last time you tracked someone down months later just to say thank you for something small.

It doesn't happen often. It happens when someone actually did something worth remembering.

Someone recently made a post using us as the price comparison.

We appreciate that. It means we've become the standard people measure against.

But cheaper is easy when you're not carrying what we're carrying.

Real commercial permits. Real commercial insurance -- not a personal auto policy that doesn't actually cover a paid ride. And all of it is verifiable, not just claimed.

Ask this of every company you're considering: do they carry the required permits? Do they carry real insurance on every driver?

We spend real money to protect the people riding with us.
We're not always the cheapest option. We're never going to pretend to carry something we don't.

A business owner in Madison told us he hasn't canceled a ride since he opened, years ago.

We didn't expect three other partners, in three cities that have never compared notes, to land on the same standard in their own words. One talked about being the safe choice, not the cheap one. Another described wanting every ride to feel like family. Different markets, different personalities, same answer every time.

“We ended up canceling and just getting out and walking.”

A college student told us about a ride that made her and her mom so uncomfortable, they chose to get out in the middle of the city rather than stay in the car.

Then she shared something her aunt taught her:
-Use a guy’s name on your rideshare profile because you’re less likely to get picked up by someone unsafe.

Her words: “It’s really sad that we have to do that.”
She’s right.

No one should feel like they need a fake name just to feel safer getting a ride.

You should know who’s coming.
You should know they’ve been vetted.
You should feel comfortable getting in the car.

That should be the standard.

Most people don't admit this, but getting into a car with a stranger never fully stops feeling strange. You just learn to ignore it.
We don't think riders should have to ignore it.

Every driver is trained to actually notice when someone's uneasy -- a first flight alone, an unfamiliar city, a rider who's just quiet in a way that means something.

Reading a passenger isn't a soft skill here. It's part of the standard every driver is held to.

That's the difference between a ride that happens to you and one where someone's actually paying attention.

Six years running Safely There in Indianapolis, serving two audiences most people wouldn't think to put in the same sentence -- parents sending their kids off, and business travelers walking into a meeting.

"Transportation in my community should feel like a trusted journey -- safe, reliable, and filled with joy and even laughter sometimes."

She said that twice in one interview, unprompted. That's usually how you know someone's found the line that actually means something to them.

Game day changes a city for the whole weekend -- not just for the people going to the game.

-Alumni flying back for the first time in years.
-Families driving in to watch their kid play.
-Visitors who've never been to this town before, figuring out parking and traffic for the first time.
-And locals who live here year-round, suddenly unable to get a ride because every app in the area surges the moment the stadium empties.

Everyone plans the tailgate. Almost nobody plans the ride home.

There's a version of this weekend where you already know how you're getting home before the game even starts; before the traffic, before the price jump, before you're standing in a crowd of thousands all trying to get the same app to work.
