Green Lion’s Free-Space Ranch began in Reserve New Mexico with a desire to serve one of the most remote and rugged rural communities with the best Land Mobile Radio coverage in the state responding to an emergency communications meeting held by the County Manager Cathy Snyder and all Public Safety departments on April 23 2014. Our analysis and reports provided monthly were used to help the County secure $250k in grant money in 2015 to improve Catron public safety communications. Well it is the Wild West and with an insider move from Las Cruces, none of those funds were ever used by the contractor of record to begin the recommended improvements suggested by Green Lion. I then worked for National Radio Astronomy Observatory for awhile working on Intermediate Frequency Processors 2GHz-18GHz and the Sigma Tau Active Hydrogen MASER restoring and repairing them. Free-Space Ranch is a return to the wide open spaces and mountains of central New Mexico providing legacy and advanced Radio over IP technology services from the City of Socorro.
