3D Printing is great for Prosthetics as they can be changed rapidly. Zager3D printed all of the hand parts which were later wired to the lower arm.

Need to replicate a part that has be discontinued? Many parts can be replicated. This light shade was modeled up and printed in ASA plastic. 24 were made in total. The first pic shows the replicated shade along with the manufactured shade.

A creative use of 3d printing! These leaves are for a fall exhibit at Fernbank. Each has a motion sensor and led lighting and they are synced with each other to create a light show. The CAD file had to be altered to be able to print hollow leaves in order for the light to go thru the entire leaf. Each leaf is 16" tall.

When making cast metal parts, one way to make them is to print out the part in Tough PLA as a master. Then then a mold can be made from that part. These large hexagons will eventually be outdoor lanterns.
