W R I T E * L E S S * S A Y * M O R E ✨
Tiny marketing hill we will happily stand on in sensible shoes:
Most “professional” copy is just regular copy wearing a blazer it did not ask for.
If your website, brochure, or social post sounds like it was written by a committee trapped in a conference room, try swapping the corporate fog for words a real human would say. The longer your copy hides behind jargon, the more people tune out.
A few favorites:
📌 Instead of “comprehensive solutions,” try “help from start to finish”
📌 Instead of “industry-leading service,” try “we know what we’re doing, and we’ll take good care of you”
📌 Instead of “strategic implementation,” try “here’s the plan, and here’s how we’ll do it”
📌 Instead of “leveraging expertise,” try “using what we know”
📌 Instead of "Maximize ROI," try “Make your marketing budget work harder.”
Clear beats clever (most of the time).
Helpful beats impressive almost always.
No fluff, no jargon. Just words your customers can understand without needing a second cup of coffee.
