Not every website needs to be complicated. Sometimes the best thing it can do is help someone find what they need and reserve it without getting in the way.

That's exactly what works about the Stache Monkey Storage website.

Stache Monkey is a self-storage facility just north of downtown Sioux Falls. Their site lays out available unit sizes from 10x10s to full-depth 10x40s, with a reserve button right where customers need it. Details like month-to-month contracts, on-site staff, and a safe, well-lit facility are easy to find too.

And because a useful website doesn't have to be boring, the brand's personality gets its moment with: "We're Here When You Mustache Your Stuff."

This is one of those sites that has been doing its job well for years, which is exactly what a business website should do.

Someone searches for "fall furnace tune-up," clicks your ad, and lands on a homepage talking about everything from air conditioning to new construction.

Now they have to go looking for the thing they already told you they wanted.

That's why we often pair Google Ads with a dedicated landing page. The page should continue the same conversation the ad started. If the ad is about furnace tune-ups, the page should explain that service, answer the obvious questions, and make the next step easy to find.

That relevance can also support a stronger Google Ads experience because the ad, keyword, and landing page are closely connected.

You pay for every ad click. Sending that traffic to the most relevant page gives each click a better chance to turn into an inquiry instead of another bounce.

If your ads are sending everyone to your homepage, it may be time to rethink the path after the click.

A click from three states away can cost you just as much as a click from someone five miles down the road.

If your business only serves customers within a certain area, that matters.

Google Ads gives you control over where your ads can appear, but location targeting is one of those settings that can quietly waste budget when it isn't set up or reviewed carefully. A Sioux Falls service business doesn't need to pay for traffic from people who are never going to become customers.

We build campaigns around the places you actually serve, then keep an eye on location performance as the campaign runs. If your service area changes or certain areas perform better than others, the targeting can change with it.

The goal isn't to collect the most clicks. It's to spend your ad budget on clicks from people who can realistically do business with you.

Running Google Ads and wondering where your budget is actually going? Let's take a look.

"Phil and his team were very responsive and collaborative in helping me get my website up on a very tight deadline. The design and implementation were high quality from start to finish, and the support has been exemplary! I would highly recommend Brinks Web Solutions, and look forward to working with Phil and his team again for some future work I have planned." - Randy F.

A tight deadline can make a website project stressful fast. Randy came to us knowing the site needed to move quickly, but he also wanted it done well.

His involvement throughout the project helped us keep decisions moving and get the details right without sacrificing the quality of the finished site.

We appreciate the kind words, Randy, and especially the trust behind them. We're looking forward to working together again on what's next.

If you have a website project on the calendar and need a team that will communicate clearly and keep it moving, we'd be happy to talk.

If someone searches for one specific service you offer, where does Google send them?

For a lot of businesses, the answer is one long Services page with six different offerings packed together. It works, but it makes both the visitor and the search engine do more work than necessary.

Giving an important service its own page lets you focus on the exact problem that brought someone to your site. You can explain the service properly, answer the questions that come up most often, show relevant examples, and give that visitor a clear next step.

It also gives Google a much clearer picture of what that page is about and what searches it may be relevant for.

That's why website planning at Brinks starts before the design. We map out your services and decide what deserves its own space, then build the site around how customers will actually use it.

Planning a new site or wondering whether your current structure is helping you? Let's talk.

We just launched a new website for Stateline Electric, and this one had a clear job to do.

Stateline has more than 25 years of experience in industrial electrical and automation, serving production facilities from Sioux City to Omaha and Sioux Falls. Their website needed to make that expertise easy to understand without making customers dig for the basics.

The new site is organized around what someone needs to know quickly: what Stateline does, which areas they serve, and how to call or request service. Each core service has its own page, so visitors can go straight to the information that matters to them.

We also made sure the site works just as well on a phone out on the plant floor as it does on a desktop in the office.

Great work to the Stateline team, and thank you for trusting us with your new site.

A homeowner with flickering lights probably isn't typing "residential electrical diagnostics" into Google. They're typing "why do my lights keep flickering" or "electrician near me."

That difference matters.

Business owners naturally describe their services using the language they know best. Your customers are usually searching from the other side of the problem. They know what is happening, what they need fixed, or what they want to buy, but they may not know the industry term for it.

Part of good SEO is closing that gap. We look at the phrases real customers use, then build them naturally into your website so Google understands what you offer, and the person searching feels like they've landed in the right place.

You shouldn't have to water down your expertise to get found. Your website just needs to speak both languages.

Wondering what your customers are actually searching for? Let's take a look at your SEO.

"We Do Web Right" is something we say a lot around here, and for good reason.

It means we'll be straight with you about what your business needs and what it doesn't. We don't cut corners just to get something out the door, and we don't disappear once your website launches.

We want to build something that works for your business and be the team you can call when you need help with it later.

That's the standard we've built Brinks Web Solutions around.

A call-to-action button can look great and still not get many clicks.

Usually, simple and specific works best. "Get a Free Quote" tells someone a lot more than "Submit."

Where you put the button matters too. People shouldn't have to hunt around your website to figure out how to contact you, buy something, or take the next step.

Sometimes a small change in wording or placement is enough to make it much easier for visitors to know what to do next.
