Help us kick off our Small Business Showdown {March Madness Style} by nominating your favorite locally owned businesses! We're gathering the top 16 community favorites to compete in a bracket-style showdown—local business edition! Each business will have a drink named after them, and the winner of each round will be determined by which drink gets ordered the most!

What an awesome experience to have a real conversation about minority business ownership

Today, the Steering Committee of The Siouxland Initiative (TSI) hosted a diversity panel featuring some of Siouxland's leading entrepreneurs, executives, and business owners. Beth Trejo represented women-owned businesses, Tony Gomez spoke on behalf of Hispanic entrepreneurs, Ike Rayford addressed his role as an African-American small business owner, and Lance Morgan, who serves as the Chair of TSI, facilitated the dialogue while recollecting his efforts to launch a Native American led economic development organization. This is "Economic Development 101," and TSI is grateful to each of you!
