So, um, I am back in ICU after a frightening TIA last night. Given more clot buster so I am here for observation. Symptoms began to resolve very quickly and ICU doc credits that with Faith calling 911 so quickly.

This was the worst TIA yet - slurred speech, no motor control (at all) on right side, numbness on right side, some confusion. Felt worse than stroke in 2011. Hospital team has been stellar. ICU doc is not mincing words: "TIA is shorthand for a stroke. You're having mini strokes and are too young to have had so many (this is my 7th TIA, the 3rd treated.)" May have neurology consult today, not certain because neurologist is in Tacoma.

I'm fine so far. Today is all about continued observation and tests. Will be released tomorrow AM since they don't release at night.

I'm terrified people will think I'm making this up. I wish that I was.

Darlene arrived home yesterday, 4.5 hours late, after a frustration of errors that had us gnashing our teeth and secretly threatening to burn down the rehab center. She was tired yet. . .

(Please help if you can. Medical bills are more tenacious than mimics.)
