China has officially rolled out the world’s first nationwide 10G broadband network, marking a major leap in global internet infrastructure. The system delivers speeds fast enough to download a full 4K movie in under 20 seconds.

The “10G” refers to 10 gigabits per second, making it roughly ten times faster than the average broadband speeds used globally today. This dramatically reduces latency, buffering, and data transfer delays.

Unlike mobile 5G, which is optimized for wireless devices, this 10G network is built for homes, businesses, and smart city infrastructure. It provides the stability required for data-heavy applications such as cloud computing and AI services.
