Avoid Income Verification Holds This Tax Season!

Income verification holds can delay your tax refund, but here’s how to avoid them:

1️⃣ Wait for Your W-2: Ensure the income you report matches what your employer reported to the IRS. Filing too early without your W-2 could cause discrepancies.

2️⃣ Double-Check Your Social Security Number: Make sure your employer has your correct Social Security number on file. Even a small mistake can create big issues.

3️⃣ Employer Reporting Deadline: Employers are required to report your income to the IRS by January 31st. Filing before this may lead to unnecessary holds if your income hasn’t been processed yet.
