Broadband Services Our goal is going to provide high-speed internet to the rural areas of Union Parish. Our services are non-satellite based, non-fixed wireless, and non-cellular.

Broadband Services LA is an internet provider for rural communities growing out of Union Parish and our goal is going to be providing uninterrupted internet to the rural areas of Union Parish. Our services will provide high-speed upload and download speeds as well as our router having a built-in cell signal booster for better cell service. One of our owners is a current resident in Union Parish on

the south side of Lake Darbonne and is also experiencing the same connectivity issues as well as higher internet bills from some of the larger providers. He graduated from West Monroe High School in 2007 and moved to Union Parish in 2020. We are very committed to bringing reliable internet to this area. We will have no contracts, no early termination fees or penalties, and free to cancel at any time. We will have a one-time sign-up fee that will include installation and equipment.

Good morning. We hope you all had a great 4th of July.
The first 40 people who sign up within our covered area will get the first month FREE, all you have to do is pay the installation fee and we will immediately get you connected.

We recently sent out over 300 letters to potential customers in the area, if you received a letter this means you can get connected to the internet immediately.

Update: We are going through our heat maps and mailing out letters to the customers in areas where we can immediately connect. We understand that we still have customers that are signed up and waiting for services and we have not forgotten about you. We are still working to improve in the areas where we are having connectivity issues due to clutter. If you receive a letter in the mail and want to sign up for internet you can shoot us a message, call, or even text us and we will get you connected immediately. We are also going to be out doing testing all over Union Parish to improve our signals and show our customers more data, if you see us out feel free to stop and talk. Thank you!

Good morning everyone.
We apologize for the delay in service. We are still working diligently to provide internet in all the rural areas. We have ran into a few issues along the way with clutter. Many of the customers we have on the waiting list at the moment are surrounded by thick trees, or the signal is being blocked by trees and not allowing the signal to reach many customers.
We are teamed up with other WISPs and vendors to find products to help us pe*****te the clutter and boost signals using other tall structures. We appreciate your patience during this learning curve while we bring connectivity to the rural areas.
We have been handing out business cards and door hangers in areas where we can connect immediately. We have had some issues with the barcode information and are working to improve that as well.
If you have any questions or want to sign up just let us know. If you send us your name and address then we can check your location and see if we can connect you today. If we can not connect you at this moment you can always check back in with us in the future.

As of this past Friday we are live and broadcasting. We will start calling this week to schedue installs and later we will post the link for new customers to sign up. Our entire staff was out sick last week, so we thank you for your patience.

Update Post:

We are proud of this startup company, and we are excited to bring internet services to your area. Our current status has not changed. We are bringing together all of the moving parts that allows a company to run efficiently. Our team created a new Internet Services Provider from nothing to go-live in six months. There were mistakes made and lessons were learned, and we are moving forward. These mistakes have been mitigated and we Anticipate installations beginning on December 11, 2023. We are having our design and deployment plan checked by our vendor on site at our office in West Monroe all this week.

We are also setting up our customer portal for those customers who want to set up their installation date. The new portal allows you to manage your accounts, make bill payments, and change your personal information when needed. The portal also allows you to submit a support ticket in the future.

As previously mentioned, we are in a final deployment meeting all this week to confirm everything is correct and will work as advertised. We Anticipate installations beginning on December 11, 2023. If this changes, we will let you all know. We will be contacting you tomorrow to walk you through the use of the portal and confirm your information and installation date. Once we go live, we will have a customer service team that will be available live Monday-Friday, 7am-7pm, including an after-hours help line.

Hello:

First, I want to apologize about promising installs back on 9/18. I made that promise prior to leaving for North Carolina on 9/11 and assumed a lot of things which turned out not to be true. If something could have gone wrong between then and now it has.
I know it has been frustrating and for those who have left and or would like their money back I will be glad to give it. I believe there are several currently waiting on a refund and I will send that to you this week.

Residential installs should begin the week of November 1st if not sooner. We are currently waiting on the correct cable to ship. I will be posting weekly status updates on Wednesday.

Apologies for not responding to Sam's resignation above. Sam left a large hole in the communications between Broadband Services and you guys. Sam was a large part of the organization, and he took advantage of a great opportunity in a field he knew well. Honestly, it was not a peaceful split. His departure was a mutual decision and does not in any way reflect the goals and plans of what Broadband Services will accomplish.

I am not from this area, but our family owns property and runs a separate business in Union and we live in Lincoln. Understandably it seems some of you are concerned about the legitimacy of what we have promised or what we are planning. My goal is to explain that below and hopefully ease any anxiety. We have been unable to answer multiple phone calls and text messages because of equipment failures, training, and the amount of testing this technology requires.

Our investment in Union Parish is absolute and will remain so. We are determined to bring reliable internet to people who do not have it but need it. Our long-term plan is to expand beyond Union into Bienville, Claiborne, Lincoln, Jackson and Ouachita. We sent out a text to some of you last night stating we will begin installing again in two-three weeks.

We built this company on the promise of no contract, $100.00 per month for 100mbps up and 100mbps down with $199.00 up front deposit. If anyone feels this service is not for them then please request your refund and I will send it to you. You are welcome back anytime.
