Update (6:38pm): Generators have been placed at some of the towers and things should start running again. Keep in mind the rolling outages and weather still have their say in coverage, but hopefully there’s been a major improvement. Let us know if you’re still having issues. Thanks!!

Update (3:10pm): Y’all have been extremely patient and we appreciate it. Our guys have been working nonstop but looks like that effort will soon pay off. We’re hoping to have pretty much everything back up and running this evening. We’ll let ya know when that’s done. 😁

Good morning. We have techs going to each individual tower to try and resolve issues best they can, outside of what the weather is affecting. Post update (11:27am): We are having rolling black outs on 90% of our networks and we have the main tower on a generator to keep it up. Still checking the rest of the network to see what we can do about keeping everything online. We’re working hard to correct every issue as it comes so please be patient. Thanks, y’all!

Update (10:34am): Main tower is up and running and everything else should be coming back online. Rolling blackouts expected to cause interruptions

How about this weather!? The whole network is down right now. The main tower power is out and we have a tech heading that way to get it back up and running. If you’re having internet issues, bear with us. We will update you soon.

Texoma Broadband is a small, local business which is comprised of members of your community. I'm one of them. I'm one of those members.

Before I got into the internet and technology space I had no idea what the jargon of this industry meant. Earlier I used the term "latency" regarding one of our towers, and I'd like to better explain what that means for those that are like me and don't speak internet.

Latency is the delay from the action you take on the computer to that action taking place. So, if you click on a link and it takes you to a website, the latency is the time it took for that web page to load. The higher the latency, the longer the delay.

We hope to keep latency to a minimum, but I'm learning that there are a ton of factors affecting it which are not always under our control. If you experience delays, be sure to let us know so we can check everything out and fix what we can. Cheers to faster speeds!
