All of us have a secret second brain.

Now, this part of your brain can either be your best friend or your worst enemy like Darth Vader is to the Republic.

1. Every human has this thing called a “reptilian” brain
- It was developed millions of years ago and first appeared in reptilians.
- This part of your brain is very old and hasn't changed much since then.

2. It's as lazy as a Sunday morning
This part of the brain was designed to make you save and optimize energy, that’s why it’s lazy and doesn’t like to work hard.

3. It learns SLOWLY!
The reptilian brain generally resists change, that’s why it takes a long time for it to get used to a new behavior or habit.
(That’s why it’s so hard to develop new habits or break old patterns…)

4. It's a little childish...
Just like a child, it needs some guidance to help you in return.

The reptilian brain controls your body's actions, reflexes, and habits.

It makes life easier by turning many of the things you do into automatic actions, so your mind can focus on more important tasks.
