9 free tools most Amazon sellers never use 👇
Meet Maya. She's about to launch her first product.
She's done her homework. She's used the usual calculators and keyword tools. She feels ready.
Then a friend asks her three simple questions:
Do you know who makes your competitor's product?
Is your brand name already taken?
Have you tested your listing before changing it?
Maya went quiet. She had no idea she could check any of that, for free.
Here are the 9 tools she wishes she'd found sooner:
1. ImportYeti
Want to know which factory makes your competitor's product? This free site searches US Customs shipping records (over 70 million of them) and shows you. Tip: search the company's legal name, not the brand name.
2. Manage Your Experiments
Not sure if a new title or image will work? Test it first. Amazon shows two versions of your listing to different shoppers and tells you which one wins. You need a Professional plan, a registered brand, and enough traffic.
3. Amazon Attribution
Do you post on social media or send emails? This shows how many of those clicks turn into sales on Amazon. Free for eligible advertisers.
4. Brand Analytics
See how shoppers search, what else they buy with your product, and how you compare to competitors on the same keywords. The data comes straight from Amazon.
5. SKU Economics
A report that shows the Amazon and FBA fees tied to each of your products. You'll see what every item really costs you.
6. The Seller App's hidden perks
Get alerts on new orders and Buy Box changes. There's even a built-in photo studio for taking listing photos on your phone.
7. Veeqo by Amazon
Free shipping software with low shipping rates and inventory tools. Great if you sell on more than one platform. (For eligible sellers.)
8. Trademark and patent search
USPTO, Google Patents, and WIPO are all free. Check your brand name and product design before you launch. Skipping this can lead to listing takedowns, account suspensions, or even lawsuits. (This is general info, not legal advice.)
9. Recalls. Gov and CPSC
Free US government recall databases. Amazon itself has monitored these sources and has removed sellers or added warnings. Check your product category before you place a big order.
Maya didn't need more tools. She needed the right ones, at the right time.
Most of what separates a guess from a good decision is already out there, and it's free.
