Had the pleasure of making a couple custom gun belts last week! These were the first two production belts and feature a few refinements that were not on the prototype I shared a couple weeks ago. First, I added numbers to the adjustment holes to give some reference to preferred settings when using various rigs and also to track upward and downward waistline trends. Also, conventional belts adjustment holes are usually 1 inch apart. I opted to go with 3/4 inch spacing to allow for finer adjustment in getting the fit 'just right.' The new belts also feature a high quality, solid stainless steel buckle instead of brass. And because I can't stand to make things that are normal or conventional, I decided to extend the Nylon 6/6 stiffening panel all the way out to the edges of the belt. Each stitch hole passes through the 1/16" thick stiffener, creating an ultra-rigid belt that will carry the most robust load out with ease!
As seen in the photos, these belts can be engraved with a name or saying on the keeper to complete the custom look! Also pictured is my prototype holster I made a couple months ago for my S&W 442. It has been carried under hot, sweaty, adverse conditions and is holding up beautifully! Please don't hesitate to ask about matching holster and belt combos!
I've also had folks ask about my cartridge carrier! It is the last design I created during my tenure at Power Custom, and I'm glad to be making them available as well! They house five rounds of .38 Special or .357 Magnum and feature two belt clips that can be re-positioned for a variety of carry positions or removed completely for carrying 5 rounds in your pocket. They're fully CNC machined from high quality Delrin composite material. It also functions as a gauge block since the channels are cut with an actual .357 chambering reamer. If a round is too tight and won't fit in the block, it also won't fit in your gun! I personally use these every day, and really enjoy the way they function! For those of us who still like to carry revolvers, it's nice to have a few extra rounds on hand!
