TNT Bucks and Prizes

We wanted to thank everyone who came to our 10th anniversary celebration! August 2026 was our best month of sales in the entire 10 years of this business, which was amazing to see. We saw almost all the TNT Bucks we passed out for the sale get used which was amazing! We did unfortunately have a few of the Gift Card prizes not get claimed, but we ended up donating them to the North Seattle Food Connection, who were able to use them during their auction fundraiser. We thought this would be a great way to give back to our community.

Take Advantage of Fall Hikes, Dick's-A-Thon &
The Halloween Walk!

The weather is turning here in the Pacific Northwest, & we want everyone to go enjoy the fall weather while they can! If you haven't made it on a hike yet this fall we highly recommend it, come ask Spencer for a recommendation, (he recently did Mt. Pilchuk, and Annette Lake. Thanks to Juan who took the photo shown above during one of the hikes.) or buy a hiking book! Come grab any hiking gear you might need, and get out on a trail (even if it's locally at Carkeek Park, the Arboretum, etc.)

Additionally, there are some great events in the second half of October in Seattle/Lake City:

-The annual Dick's-A-Thon run will be on October 17th from 7:30am-5:30pm, will be starting at The Mountaineers & visiting various Dick's Drive-In locations throughout Seattle, including the one across from our store on 30th Ave NE!

-The Halloween Walk is happening on October 30th on Lake City Way NE!

The next Lake City Art Walk & Vendor Market is on Thursday, October 15th, 2026 from 4-7pm! We are shifting the Art Walk an hour earlier to make it easier for businesses to stay open late. Come support local artists and vendors!

We have recently acquired some new speakers in the shop, and NOW is the time to come get a pair of speakers for your setup! Below are some pictures of the new speakers in the shop currently:

Meet Zeke!!!

Zeke is the newest member of our team, and he will be helping out the shop with inventory management and is happy to answer any questions you have (especially about media!). Here are some details about Zeke:

Q: What got you started in audio?
A: I've been listening to music since I was a kid, & I've always loved collecting & listening to it! A few years ago, the first time I opened up a turntable, I knew I was at the point of no return! When I fixed my first turntable, I knew I fell down the rabbit hole!

Q: What are some of your favorite genres of music or movies?
A: I'm hard-pressed to say a genre I dislike, but my favorites are funk, soul, and indie! I love all movies, I worked at Reckless Video for a long time. My first love is silly action movies, I love them to death!

Q: What is one thing you would like people to know about you?
A: I was born & raised in Lake City (within walking distance of the store), and am so excited to be working a store that is in the neighborhood I grew up in!

The last B**rs & Beats Summer Music Series is on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Hellbent Brewing! Come soak up the remaining summer vibes with free admission, DJs, food trucks, b**r, and live bands!

As always, thanks for reading! We are all calming down from the chaos of our 10 year party. It's been nice to try to get back into the swing of things, though it feels like we aren't really ever able to catch up! It's a good problem to have. School is back in session, fall is around the corner, change is in the air, and I'm already thinking about how we are going to thrive and survive the Holiday season this year. We just hired a new "inventory clerk" to manage the always cascading pile of gear that needs testing, sorting, pricing, repair, recycling, selling, listing, etc. etc. etc. You should start seeing Zeke around the shop so make sure you say hi and welcome him! We still are really interested in hiring another shop technician who can use an oscilloscope and has electronic repair knowledge. I know some of you reached out in the past few months that I lost the contact info for (oops).
