The United States is heading for a workforce crisis. Lightcast predicts a shortage of 6 million workers by 2032.

Why? More retirements, skills not matching jobs, and fewer men working.
Our population is aging. There's a growing gap between young, educated workers and booming industries like healthcare and trades.

In 2027, for the first time ever, more Americans will turn 65 than 16. This could mean not enough new workers to replace retirees.

Experts say immigration and automation might help, but won't fully solve the problem.

I think this is another big reason why companies are so bullish on AI.

AI agents could assist in customer service and support.

They also support data-driven decisions.

However, humans will remain essential. We're needed for complex tasks, creativity, and emotional intelligence.

The challenge will be finding the right balance between AI and human workers.
