For those of you with friends and family in the path of the upcoming hurricane. If they have an iPhone 14 or newer I would strongly encourage them to upgrade to iOS 18 which will allow them to have SOS satellite texting abilities in the case of an emergency.

If you are in the path of Hurricane Milton, there’s a key item of prep to take: install iOS 18 so you can access Messages via satellite.
