The 4 Nations concept jumped out at me the moment I saw the three lines in the ice as a Roman numeral IV. That bold, simple graphic became the foundation of the entire visual direction. From there, I designed the assets to work within that same aesthetic, building a cohesive system rooted in strong form, clarity, and impact.

Inspired by those who wake up early on Saturdays, frozen ponds and lakes in the winter, the smell of fresh chips in an old rink, countless hours of after school street hockey, the lumps, bruises and scrapes that came from not giving a crap. Kid Hockey is to that rambunctious kid in all of us.

An earthy exploration for the Krooked Font . In the development of this font i was able to come up with a very cool continuous line drawing for the Shaka. Thought this was prett unique look at the infamous hand gesture. Thanks for having a look. Stickers soon.

When i first designed Kid Hockey back in 2016, the idea was mostly a spoof off old cartoons like Astro Boy and logos like Bobs Big Boy. A few iterations came and went and then I wanted to build it as a stand alone product or brand. Hockey isn't the most popular sport in the world (no idea why not), but it's part of my heritage and my life. I felt it needed something. Kid hockey really embodies those kids like me getting up at the crack of dawn to go play pond hockey until you lost all your pucks or teeth in the snow, or when the sun went down at noon, or at least it seemed that way. So look forward to Kid Hockey coming to a something or other near you. Thanks!
