This is absolutely true. You need a high quality connector for the 50 series cards. They all come with an adapter if your psu doesn’t have a 16 pin (12+4) connector. However. DO NOT USE that adapter long term. The 50 series cards 5070, 5070ti, 5080, and the 5090 have caught fire! Protect that card! And your pc!

This isn’t the highest score I’ve gotten. Just the one I took a picture of. This is a stock 5070 running at TI speeds. This 5070 is clocked at 3225 on the core and 16001 on the memory. Gaming wise I run it at 3330 +450 and 17001 +3000. 68c to 75c. This is one of the many things I can do for you.
