Facebook is testing a limit on link posts, and some business Pages are already seeing it. Right now it looks like 2 link posts a month for Pages that don’t pay for Meta Verified or Meta One.
Here is what that means and what to do about it:
- Link posts already get little reach. Only about 2% of U.S. feed views go to posts with a link.
- Put your link in the first comment. Links in comments are not limited.
- Lead with Reels, carousels and photos, then send people to your link in bio or by DM.
- Save your 2 link posts for what matters most, like a launch, an offer or a big announcement.
- Use paid ads when you need traffic. Ad links are not affected.
Publishers are exempt from the test, but business Pages that share website, blog or offer links are the ones affected.
