🌀 Tropical Storm Edouard is approaching the upper Texas coast, with the center expected to reach the northwestern Gulf Coast later today before moving inland across southeast Texas tonight.
Air Force Hurricane Hunter aircraft found Edouard strengthening this morning, with maximum sustained winds near 50 mph. Additional strengthening is forecast before landfall, and the storm could approach hurricane strength before moving inland.
As Edouard moves inland, the primary hazards include damaging winds, storm surge along portions of the Texas and Louisiana coast, heavy rainfall capable of producing flash flooding, and the potential for isolated tornadoes.
