Corporate America, if a donation and a social media post could end systemic bias, we wouldn’t be where we are today. It’s an especially inadequate response from you, because here’s the bad news: You ARE the problem. The good news: It means you have the power to effect real structural change from within. Use it wisely. Here’s what we need to start doing immediately, on both an individual and an organizational level, from Shaun Wiggins:

When discussing systemic bias, it is important to keep in mind that we live in two Americas: One America serves as the beacon for the democracy, offering freedoms of religion, speech, peaceful assembly, resolution of grievances; protections of life, liberties and properties; rights of just trials; a

The has identified schools as very attractive targets for cyber attacks because they harbor sensitive data and provide critical public services. Criminals, juvenile pranksters, predators and even foreign governments engage in cyber attacks on schools to extort money, instill chaos, change grades, disrupt school systems and more. Case in point: schools experienced more than 500 ransomeware attacks in 2019. And, as digital learning grows so does the risk of cyber attacks. The problem is not going away.

I'm looking forward to our collaboration with the National School Boards Association to present the webinar "Understanding Cyber Risks in Our Schools and Homes" on Thursday March 5. Soteryx will share information on cyber risks that are challenging schools and homes as well as strategies to help manage these risks.

Big hat tip to Valarie Carty, Adam Lustig and the for tapping 's expertise to discuss this important topic.
