One of the things I value most about the work I do is connection.
I don’t take on a lot of clients at once, because the people I work with aren’t just “projects” to me. They’re humans doing good work in the world, and I get invested in helping them share that work clearly and confidently.

That’s why I want to highlight one of my longest-running clients: Operation At Ease Inc, a non-profit who takes dogs from shelters, pairs them with deserving veterans and first responders and provides a free guided training program for post-traumatic stress and mobility service dogs—and it’s been a privilege to help them keep their website strong, accessible, and running smoothly behind the scenes.

Right now, they’re up for a grant through Company Distilling’s Gather Around Giving program, which supports nonprofits making a real difference in their communities.

I’ve never officially shared this, but 1.5 years ago I was formally recognized as having ADHD—and running a solo business with a chaotic brain means I’ve had to get real creative about how I stay focused, organized, and, well... functional.

That glowing little guy in this image? That’s Skip. He’s what I call my AI co-pilot. Not just for writing—but for untangling brain fog, clarifying next steps, helping me plan, organize, process, and actually finish things.

This isn’t about automation, it’s about adaptation.

I gave AI a name, a job, and a personality—and it gave me back momentum, clarity, and humor when I needed it most. This post is tribute to a funny conversation this morning about what AI relates to in terms of caffeine.
