Meet October's YPG Spotlight: Frankie Angotti!

What’s the best piece of professional advice you have been given?
"Know your worth, trust your expertise and never stop learning. As a business owner, I've learned that growth often happens when you step outside your comfort zone and take chances. Not every opportunity is the right opportunity, and learning to recognize that is just as important as knowing when to say yes."

What’s your favorite thing about Sarasota?
"The sense of community and the beach…duh! Sarasota has such an incredible mix of creativity, entrepreneurship, and people who genuinely want to see one another succeed. I love that it's a place where relationships turn into friendships, and those friendships turn into family. Businesses support businesses and there are endless opportunities to get involved and make a difference. Plus, having beautiful beaches in our backyard certainly doesn't hurt!"

What’s one (or two) things people would say you do really well?
"My number one strength I would say the art of connection. Connecting with people on an intentional level, helping connect other to those they might not know and connecting the dots to all of the ideas of the people that I work with through branding, website and design. Something else I do really well is showing up. I show up for myself, my business, my people and this community… time is our most valuable currency you can give, so when you do it carries a heavier weight."

What would you say you need the most help with?
"Learning to delegate and creating more balance between working in my business and working on my business. As a creative entrepreneur, it's easy to wear all the hats and want to have a hand in everything. I'm learning that in order to continue growing Angotti Design, I need to make more room for the bigger-picture ideas and trust the process."

Just an extreme extrovert graphic designer clocking in for all the events this week! ✨

𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆: SMARTgirl Mentor Summit with SRQ Mag. Being asked to participate being a mentor to middle school girls was so amazing. Wr explored their future, potential career interests and useful life skills to use as they move through their lives.

𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆: Tanner’s Turkeys Board Meeting in anticipation for our upcoming event on Tuesday, November 3rd at Fin & Tonic. We’re hoping to raise enough money to feed 1,000 local families this year for Thanksgiving!

𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆: YPG Networking Happy Hour at Beso with the Sarasota Chamber. My mentee, Alina, from New College of Florida joined me in exploring the world of networking and connection.

𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆: A gala at the St. Regis for Sertoma of Sarasota to raise money for their children and services. Thank you to Sunshine Movers for inviting me to attend!

𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆: Annual Clay Shoot with the Sarasota Chamber with a few of my leadership girls. Thank you to Gecko’s for inviting us and allowing me to participate in my first ever clay shoot, turns out I’m not too bad!

Wow, what a week. Weeks like this really fill my cup and allows me to get out from behind my computer and connect with so many different groups of people, especially when gathering for the greater good!

Big news from Angotti Design… we’ve expanded the team. 🐾🌿

Meet Luna, our newest Design Apprentice + Junior Management. She’s little, she’s hyper, she has absolutely no professional experience, and yet somehow she landed the job.

Her current responsibilities include:
• Shadowing Kona, our longtime Design Sidekick + Senior Management
• Supervising from approximately six inches away
• Providing unsolicited creative feedback
• Sleeping through meetings
• Keeping office energy levels unnecessarily high
• Accepting payment exclusively in treats

Don’t worry, Kona is still firmly holding her position as Design Sidekick. She’s simply moved into her senior management era and now has an apprentice to train. 😂

𝗔 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆. ⚓️ 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗿𝘀.

I had the opportunity to create the branding for Find The Missing Button, a new merchant’s outpost tucked into Historic Burns Court. The goal was to build more than a logo. We created an entire visual identity rooted in maritime history, old Sarasota character and the charm of things that feel collected, weathered and wonderfully imperfect.

From the nautical-inspired marks and vintage typography to the muted navy, brass and parchment palette, every detail was designed to make the brand feel like it had been there for decades, just waiting to be discovered.

And seeing that identity carried throughout the actual space? That’s the magic of branding. The signage, tags, packaging, storytelling and smallest details all work together to completely immerse you in the world of The Missing Button.

Kona has been my little sidekick through all of it. Client projects, late afternoons at my desk, coffee runs, creative blocks, business wins and the occasional reminder that I have, in fact, been staring at my computer for too long.

Her official responsibilities at Angotti Design include supervising all design decisions, requesting frequent outdoor meetings, sleeping on the job, appearing on Zoom calls unannounced and ensuring the Treat Distributor remains on schedule.

But beyond being my unofficial coworker, she’s my best friend, my Koni girl and one of the very best parts of every single day. 💛

𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝗕𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗞𝗼𝗻𝗮! 🎂
