"The miraculous thing about streaming is that we can get such incredible results if attention is paid to the details....if you want high end results from streaming, it’s necessary to employ filtering and the better it is the better the resulting sound. Thanks to the efforts that have gone into its design and construction the Muon2 is the best example of the breed I have come across, if you really want to hear what streaming is capable of buy one on Network Acoustics’ money back guarantee and give it a try, if you love music I doubt you’ll want to send it back."- The EAR, Sept. 1, 2026

The Muon 2 Filter is available NOW at XtremeFidelity!

The Muon2 ethernet filter may be compact but it is beautifully formed, with a solid beech enclosure that's finished in a gloss black or silver

Over the course of Siltech™ decades long history, a handful of products have been special. The Classic Legend series was one of them: performing at an exceptional level and representing a sweet spot in their entire lineup, Classic Legend became the best selling series in their history.

But the best is yet to come: Classic Legend Mk. II, a revised and improved take on the original, offers even better performance. Taking advantage of refined geometry and a new carbon shield, Classic Legend Mk. II is quieter, more transparent, and has better transient and dynamic response. In short, your music has never sounded better.

The Legend continues.

Qobuz ("ko-buzz") is our streaming service of choice at XtremeFidelity. Article by Sophie Charara at WIRED:

With its music focus, no-AI content policy, and larger artist royalties, the hi-res streaming service is scooping up all sorts of switchers.

Siltech has announced their Classic Legend Mk. II cable series. Classic Legend Mk. II builds on the foundation of the amazing Classic Legend with a clear purpose: to make the series quieter, more stable, and more complete. The most important change is not cosmetic. It sits inside the cable. Mk. II introduces a new generation of shielding and construction techniques, including carbon shielding and advanced air-filled insulation construction. These developments help reduce unwanted electrical influence around the signal path, while allowing the conductor geometry to work with greater precision.

The Mk. II series will be available at a wide range of performance/price points, including entry level. Coming in August to XtremeFidelity.

Wow- out of the gate, the first review on the new Network Acoustics Muon 2 reference switch! "Does the Muon2 what it says in the literature, does it “bring music to life”? The answer has to be a resounding ‘yes’, it stops more of the noise than the competition and as a result streaming sound has more vigour and clarity, it sounds more like the real thing because you hear more of each note and less of the grunge that plagues streaming systems." Available for pre-order now at XtremeFidelity. Courtesy of Jason Kennedy/ EAR.

The Muon2 looks rather different to both the Tempus and all the other high end switches on the market, that is because the case is not metal but wood.
