The core finding isn't surprising to anyone in this field: AI-assisted writing tends to be more polished but less interesting. When students write in their own words and actually wrestle with their ideas, their thinking is better.

She got into BS/MD programs — guaranteed medical school admission right out of high school. That's a big deal.

CS enrollment is falling because students are scared AI will make the major irrelevant.
