In today’s world, technology is becoming increasingly important and I firmly believe that programming is an invaluable skill that everyone should acquire.

From my own experience, I can attest to the fact that tech companies are much easier to scale and reach that coveted $1M annual recurring revenue status.

Product or Services?

Grasping the distinction between them can be a crucial element in rapidly expanding your business to the million-dollar level, or struggling to gain momentum.

This can be divided into three distinct categories:
- services (e.g. programming or photography);
- tangible products (e.g. T-shirts);
- intangible products (e.g. subscriptions to a platform).

Services may be difficult to scale. To address potential issues, customize offerings and lessen reliance on service-based operations, aiding scalability and achieving desired growth.

Tangible products can be challenging due to costs of creation or acquisition, reducing potential profits. Consider margins when selling tangible products.

Intangible products are often the easiest to scale, such as software, courses and other tech-related items. For tangible products, consider costs, margins, storage and other factors for business success.

By following these tips, you can refine your startup's offering and take it to the next level, potentially reaching the million-dollar mark.

In order to grow your business, you need to make smart decisions about how you want to do it. Here are some of the most common models for businesses today.

⭐️1st - One-time purchase model - this is where the customer buys something, and they are done.

⭐️2nd - The recurring revenue model ( my favourite model ) - This is a monthly subscription or licence payment that is ongoing.

⭐️3rd - The transaction fee model - this is like PayPal, where they take a percentage of every transaction.

⭐️4th - The ad model. For this model, you need a ridiculous amount of traffic/users to actually make this model work.

The best way to connect with people is by listening to them, not always telling them what you think they want to hear. It's not what you say, it's how you listen that matters.

In business the client and their needs should always be a priority and the only way that you can really understand their needs is to listen attentively.

Don't make assumptions.

Listen.
