Some of y'all act like an iPhone X belongs in a museum.
Meanwhile that iPhone X:
✔ Makes calls
✔ Sends texts
✔ Uses Instagram
✔ Takes pictures
✔ Pays your bills
✔ Still works
If you're happy with your device, who cares if it's "old"?
We replace batteries, screens, charge ports, cameras, and other parts on older devices every week. Not because people can't afford a new phone—but because they LIKE the one they already have.
Life's expensive enough. If a $60 battery replacement keeps your phone running another year or two, that's a win.
You don't get bonus points for financing a $1,200 phone when the one in your pocket still does everything you need.
Use it. Fix it. Enjoy it.

once again apple misses the opportunity to repair instead of replace.

here's the tale of an iPhone X. customer doesnt want to upgrade, they're happy eith their device and happy with how its all set up. for some people upgrading makes em anxious. having to transfer the data and possibly learn a new OS layout, can be nerve wracking.

apple said "nope, we can sell you another one". customer came to us and it needed a charge port and battery replacement. this set them back $130. probably worth same or more than the phone but the customer is happy.

A cracked screen doesn't always mean you need the most expensive repair. 📱
This Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra came in with a shattered display and we gave the customer two options:
✅ Aftermarket OLED Screen – $230 Flat
✅ Original Samsung Screen – $400 Flat
Both restore your phone to working condition, but the original Samsung display offers the closest experience to what came from the factory.
No matter which option you choose, we don't just install the screen and call it a day. Every repair is tested for:

Thats why quality should always come before price.
The owner of the phone went with a shop that uses the aftermarket back glass instead of the housing swaps (the right way). They most likely paid less for the service.

Consequence? The tech used wayyy too much glue on the frame and left the phone with no image. They sent me to phone to repair.

Now idk if they billed the customer for that or not, but the customer definitely had to be without their phone for a couple of weeks since it was shipped from out of state. So if the customer didnt pay for that, then the shop took the L on that repair. Whatever profit they made on the repair went down the drain.

I personally charge $160 flat for the housing swap. The phone is ready under 2 hours with full pre & post repair diagnostics via apple's AST2. The customer gets a sturdier repair and a warranty on the internal parts.

Thats my rant. Sorry that was long! Have an awesome memorial day everyone!

🔍 Trust but verify.
We don't just replace charging ports—we test the entire charging circuit afterward.
A new port means nothing if the filters, traces, or charging IC are still causing problems.

today we have a 12 pro with a 3 minute restart. however this time it wasn't a standard parts problem.

a broken trace on the earspeaker connector was keeping the part from communicating with the CPU.
technically, on the 12 series the earspeaker isnt required to prevent the restart. BUT if the flex isnt plugged in you're stuck with practically no image.

we rebuilt the trace and 💥 no more restarts.
