🎮 PS5 BEEPED THREE TIMES AND CHOSE VIOLENCE. 💀😂

Three beeps. No boot. No gaming. Just sadness.

This PlayStation 5 was sent to us by another repair shop after developing a 3-beep, no-power issue.

The culprit? 🔬

⚡ A faulty BIOS chip!

While a PS5 that won't turn on can have several possible causes, this particular console needed some good old-fashioned motherboard-level attention.

Well, well, well. Look what the repair fairy dragged into Tortello today.

This PlayStation 5 had previously been worked on by another shop, but afterward, the console wouldn't boot properly.

The culprit? 🔍

⚡ A damaged LED flex cable!

Sometimes the smallest components can cause the biggest headaches. And when something gets damaged during a previous repair, figuring out what went wrong is half the battle.

🔬⚡ WHEN THE POWER BUTTON NEEDS ITS OWN EXTENSION CORD. 💀😂

Well, this was an unusual repair request!

The original power-button signal wasn't making it through the motherboard anymore. And apparently, the solution was to take the scenic route. 🛣️

So what did we do?

🔧 Ran a LONG jumper wire to bypass the failed signal path.

⚡ Created a makeshift power button to restore the power-on signal.

🔬 Put those microsoldering skills to work!

Because sometimes motherboard repair isn't about replacing a component. Sometimes it's about understanding the circuit well enough to recreate the connection.

If it's weird, complicated, or requires a microscope and questionable amounts of caffeine, there's a good chance it's our kind of repair. 😂

💻💦 MacBook + liquid = “So… how expensive is this about to get?” 😭
This MacBook came in with liquid damage, and once we got inside… yeahhhh, we found the crime scene. 😂
That green crusty mess on the logic board? Corrosion. And unfortunately, electronics aren't particularly fond of becoming an aquarium.
But here's the important part:
LIQUID DAMAGE DOESN'T AUTOMATICALLY MEAN THE MACBOOK IS DEAD. 👏
Board-level repair means getting under the microscope, finding exactly where the liquid caused damage, cleaning up the corrosion, testing the affected circuits and repairing the motherboard instead of immediately condemning the entire machine. 🔬🔥
Because our diagnostic process isn't:
❌ “It got wet.”
❌ “Needs a motherboard.”
❌ “That'll be one kidney, please.” 💀
We actually diagnose the board.
Sometimes the difference between “buy another MacBook” and “your MacBook is fixed” is somebody willing to grab a microscope and soldering iron.

This iPhone 13 Pro came in desperately needing a battery replacement. With its old battery sitting at only 58% maximum capacity, it was WELL past the “maybe I'll replace it eventually” stage.

Narrator: It could not. 💀
This PS5 came in after an attempted fan connector repair. Unlike a plug-and-play part, the PS5 fan connector is soldered directly to the motherboard—so when the connector or board gets damaged, we're officially in microsoldering territory. 🔬🔥
The goal wasn't just replacing the connector. We had to clean up the previous attempt, repair the damaged area, solder the fan connector properly, and make sure the fan was actually doing its job again.
Connector repaired. Fan working. PS5 lives to overheat another day. 😂
DIY is awesome… right up until the repair needs a microscope and a soldering iron.

🚲💨 Kid fell off the e-bike.

E-bike: OK. ✅
iPhone 16e: “Tell my family I love them.” 💀📱

Thankfully, the phone was being a little dramatic.
This iPhone 16e took a pretty nasty hit and absolutely sacrificed its screen for the cause. 😂 The display was damaged, but the phone itself still had plenty of life left.
New screen installed. 🔧
Phone tested. ✅
Back in business. 😎

And THAT is why we're always preaching:
BROKEN ≠ REPLACE IT.
A cracked screen doesn't automatically mean you need a new $800+ phone and another monthly payment. Sometimes the solution is significantly simpler:
