Are you missing your weather? A location provider that supported Recast disappeared today so we have released a new version that fixes that issue. Please download the latest version (1.0.12) of Recast to get back in working order again. If you don't see the update yet it should appear in your app store within a few hours.

Now available: Recast has been updated with lock screen widgets (Android 4.2.x), better handling of no internet connectivity with "current location", humidity now appears in a few widgets, new 4x4 widget layouts and much more. Go check it out!

We wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for their support and feedback during 2012.

Recast has come a long way since we started this year and many of you had a hand in that! We do really appreciate the effort and information you've shared with us, and it has made Recast a better project. Rest assured, more features and improvements are coming after the holidays.

Impel has also continued to pick up customer and we're humbled by the creative ways people have found to use it. Right now we're working on a few issues that impact 4.2.x devices and hope to have an update to resolve them soon.

Keep writing in and let us know what you would like to see in a future versions of Recast and Impel. We're working on a better way to let everyone know what features have already been requested and what we're working on now. It is your feedback that keeps us pointed in the right direction so thank you for that input.

We hope that everyone has safe and happy holidays and a great start to 2013.
