A university website has to serve prospective students, current students, researchers and parents. Usually it serves none of them well.

Educare is a starting point that does.

It is a free Drupal site template for schools, universities and academies. It installs a full education site. Programs, admissions, research, student life, events, news and contact, ready on first boot.

Editors build new sections from ready-made patterns, so a new program page matches the design without a developer. Every page is built in Drupal Canvas. All 124 public pages are tested to WCAG 2.2 AA with zero accessibility violations, the standard most institutions are required to meet.

Built by Vardot, the team behind Varbase, with years of work for universities. Template: https://hubs.li/Q04zD9Zk0

Most humanitarian websites are built by three people with no time and no budget for custom development.
Horizon Aid is for them.

It is a free Drupal site template that installs a complete NGO website. Programs, the countries you work in, events, resources, a donate page and a newsletter sign-up. All there on first install, with twelve country pages of demo content you replace with your own.

Editors change every page in Drupal Canvas, without code. Nothing tracks your visitors by default. Every public page is tested to WCAG 2.2 AA, so the people who rely on you can actually use the site.

Built by Vardot, from years of work with humanitarian and UN organizations. Check out the template: https://hubs.li/Q04zD8zL0

That's a wrap on DrupalCon Rotterdam 2026.

A few days with the Drupal community, our team on the ground, and a lot of ideas worth bringing home. Thank you to everyone who stopped by the booth and shared a conversation with us.

Here are a few of our favorite moments from Rotterdam. Until the next one.

We're bringing a trophy home from Rotterdam.

Our work for Health First won the Healthcare category at the 2026 International Splash Awards this week, during DrupalCon Europe.

The project brought a lot of different audiences together on one Drupal platform, and it was good to see the jury recognize it.

Thank you to the Splash Awards team and to everyone at Health First. And to our team, who earned this one.

Most AI governance plans start with the wrong question.

They ask which model to use.

The real question is simpler:
can your compliance lead trace who changed what, and why?

At DrupalCon Rotterdam, Dries called this Drupal's "accidental AI advantage."

The permissions, revisions, and audit logs AI needs?
Already built in.

↳ When ChatGPT rolled back two Dutch pages in the keynote demo, Drupal logged every change under the editor's account (older versions kept, nothing bypassed).

That's the difference between AI you can audit and AI you only hope behaves.

Our breakdown covers how assistants connect through MCP, how shadow AI slips past review, and what to test before rollout.

P.S. If an AI tool edited your site today, could you prove what it touched?

For many of the institutions we work with, new software waits on one thing: getting a new vendor approved.

Varbase is now on Microsoft Marketplace.

Organizations already working with Microsoft can bring in Varbase through the agreement they already hold. No new supplier to register. No separate legal review. No new billing relationship to set up.

Same platform. Same price. A faster path from decision to launch.

You can keep guessing whether your Drupal site is ready for AI, or you can know in about 3 minutes.

We built a scorecard from the same checklist we use on real projects: 20 plain-language questions, an instant score across five areas, and a prioritized list of what to fix first. No download, no sales call.

AI is changing how people find your content. Score your Drupal platform's AI readiness across five areas in five minutes.
