Introducing the FIS2-001 Fuel Injection System. It is a complete fuel injection solution for Type 1 Volkswagen engines. It replaces the carburetor with a fuel injection system that is modular and easy for an experienced mechanic to install. The ECU controls both fuel and ignition timing. It comes pre-programmed for a 1600 engine and can be reprogrammed for larger engines by the end user. In addition to optimizing fuel and timing for peak performance, the system has a high idle mode for cold start and compensation for elevation and engine temperature.

This kit provides significant performance gains. Dyno testing showed an 8 hp gain from 46 to 54 hp and an 11 ft-lb torque increase from 79 to 90 ft-lbs. The engine starts right up when cranking and does not require that you touch the accelerator pedal. The engine feels smooth and strong over the entire RPM range. Moreover, the benefit of the O2 sensor is improved fuel economy. The responsiveness of the engine is transformed with instant acceleration on demand.

The kit can be installed by an experienced mechanic in about four hours. The fuel pump, regulator and filter are all pre-assembled into one unit. The highly integrated throttle body is fitted with the fuel injector, IAT sensor, TPS sensor and idle air valve. It is a direct fit and ready to install. A custom wire harness with clearly labeled connectors makes wiring easy.

We are still doing MAF kits on the early M3, M5 and M6 BMWs. This is a euro E24 M6 with a fresh engine build. This mod typically adds 15-18 hp at the wheels. This one is no different. The smoothness is exceptional and the top end rocks.

The AIC1 has become very popular for adding port injection to direct injected turbo engines. An ideal platform is the Ford Ecoboost. Here are some comments from Tune Plus. They have a complete kit for this application.

TunePlus, Inc has been using Split Second AIC Additional injector controllers for the past 4 years in our Ford Ecoboost high horsepower builds. The factory fuel system in the Ecoboost 2.0/2.3L cannot support more than 420whp on pump gas/race gas, and even less with Ethanol. We have been able to build a kit to add 4 additional injectors between the intake manifold and cylinder head, and control them with an AIC from Split Second. We required a specific wiring harness to suit our application and Split Second got it done without any hassle, even when we changed up our request about 4 or 5 times haha.

The system is easy to install, and easy to control. No overly complex settings, or setup process to get up and going. Wire it up, power it on, and connect to the R4 software. We have shipped over 100 of our custom AIC units from Split Second and never had any issues and customers were able to set them up on their own with simple instructions on our end!

Here are some customer comments about the VC3-100 voltage clamp on his Toyota Tundra.

Hi Mark. Just sent a few pics. Sorry for the dirty truck. It’s literally a daily driver and I live down a dirt road.

Stock 2003 tundra with 4.7 that has about 215,000 miles. Running intake from 05-06 tundra. 440cc injectors. E85. Custom charge pipe. Comp oiless remote mount turbo. 7lbs boost. Jba long tube headers. Catless mid pipes. Equal length y pipe. BA muffler 12” muffler.

Problem started when we upped the boost from 4psi to 7. After being in boost for about 4-5 seconds the truck would shut down due to the high mass air meter reading.

After installing the vc3 it took about 15 minutes to find where to clamp the voltage. But now we can stay in boost as long as we want.

Thanks again for building this product. I recommend it to everyone that I can!!

We got a chance to work on this sweet BMW E30 M3 Sport Evolution. It had a tip-in stumble and was flat at WOT. We installed our MAF Kit and did a street and dyno tune. The results were very impressive. The initial fuel curve went very lean at high RPM. After tuning we got a nice smooth fuel curve. Horsepower went from 184 to 211 at the wheels. The car is now very smooth and pulls strong.

Awesome video of Maximum PSI's record run of 9.82@145mph in the quarter mile in their 2016 F80 M3. They are running the AIC1-V6H/EV6 port injection fuel controller to control methanol injection. They hold several records in the US including fastest manual trans BMW (8.9@164mph, E36 M3) and fastest E46 M3 (9.7@146mph).
