Grandma Accidentally Adopts a Cougar
It started when a man’s grandma wouldn’t stop bragging about the “stray cat” she’d been feeding. She kept saying how big and strong he was, even healthier than any stray she’d ever seen. Curious, her son asked what kind of cat it was. Maybe a Maine C**n? A mixed breed?

But the more she described him… the more he realized something was off.

The next day, he decided to check her security cameras. And that’s when the truth hit him like a freight train, her “stray cat” was actually a full-grown cougar calmly eating from the dish she’d set out on her porch.

He immediately called her, told her to stay inside, and contacted wildlife control. Soon after, the young male cougar was safely relocated back to the wild.

Experts later explained why the cougar never attacked: cougars can smell fear. Because she wasn’t afraid, and because she fed him, he likely saw her as a matriarch, not prey. To him, she wasn’t a stranger. She was family.

12 Year Old Pulled Over While Trying to Save Her Puppy In Texas, a 12 year old girl, home sick from school, was thrown into a terrifying situation. Her mom wasn’t answering, and her brand-new puppy was dying before her eyes.

Panicked but determined, she grabbed the car keys. Though she had never driven before, she made it nearly a mile toward the nearest vet, until flashing lights appeared behind her.

The officer who pulled her over quickly realized what was happening. Without hesitation, he rushed the puppy into his car and sped to the vet. Thanks to his quick thinking, the puppy survived.

The girl, already overwhelmed with guilt, was later taken to her mom’s workplace. Before leaving, the officer turned to the mother and said:

“I’d usually give you a lecture, hoping you’d raise a better child. But ma’am you’ve raised an amazing, strong, compassionate, and smart young woman. Let’s just make sure she learns what side of the road to drive on in a few years.”

Earthquake’s FF6.5 Front Firing Subwoofer is an evolutionary step in the continued quest for superb bass performance. The FF series offers versatility, small footprint, and great looks all while staying surprisingly affordable. The powerful woofers used in the FF line have direct lineage to the lauded MiniMe subwoofers sporting massive excursion and high power handling. The amplifiers are refined descendants of the signature Sub-Series from Earthquake.
The third generation Earthquake FEA computer-modeled bass slot-port loading increases the output of the powerful woofer/amp combo. The new slot port provides more port volume than possible with traditional tubular port loading resulting in radically increased low frequency output. Since it is not a tubular device, it can bend at optimum angles reducing cabinet size making the subwoofer both powerful and aesthetic. It also routes laminar airflow across the aerodynamically shaped internal amplifier heat-exchangers. This forced flow cooling technique enables the FF Series subwoofers to operate at continued high levels, even if fully built-in. The slot-port is an integral part of the subwoofer and serves as a cross brace making the cabinet very strong and resonance free.
The FF6.5 takes the slot port design a significant step further by fusing it with an advanced reflex apparatus. This technology merges a quarter-wavelength transmission line with a variable cross section folded horn. This novel synthesis of technologies yields an acoustic reflex device with unsurpassed efficiency. Resulting in a massive boost to low frequency output, empowering the FF6.5 to rival ordinary designs with woofers up to 10 inches.
