That’s a wrap on — and apparently, a LOT of people wanted to check out Cisco Crisis Response. 🙌

More than 1,500 people stopped by the CCR activation throughout the week, connecting with the team, exploring the NERV, and learning more about how Cisco technology supports communities when it matters most.

A few highlights:

👕 Current CCR Volunteers picked up some new team gear (we're looking at you, German members of our CCR Community! 🇩🇪)
🙋 A couple hundred people expressed interest in becoming volunteers
💡 Sales teams stopped by to talk with us about solutions consulting and how CCR’s real-world experience can help inform customer conversations
🚚 And the NERV? Always popular. Always a scene-stealer.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by, asked questions, shared ideas, and wanted to learn more about getting involved.

The best part of GSX? Seeing just how many people across Cisco want to be part of the mission.

Cisco Crisis Response is making the most of !

The team has been connecting with attendees, catching up with current CCR volunteers, and chatting with plenty of people interested in getting involved. We were also excited to welcome SVP and Chief Social Impact & Sustainability Officer, Brian Tippens, for a visit to the CCR space with a tour of the NERV.

It’s been a great opportunity to share more about how our volunteers help CCR rapidly deploy connectivity when communities are impacted by crisis and to grow the community that makes that work possible.

The NERV is parked, the gear is set, and the Cisco Crisis Response team is ready for ! (Here are a few shots of us getting ready yesterday!)

While GSX brings Cisco teams together to connect, learn, and prepare for what’s ahead, CCR is on the ground giving employees a closer look at what it takes to deliver connectivity when communities need it most.

From the technology inside the NERV to the people behind every deployment, we’re looking forward to sharing how preparation today helps us respond when it matters most.

Ready to roll. 🚚🌐

POV: You’re the Cisco Crisis Response NERV, checking to make sure everyone showed up for training. 👀

Yep. All accounted for. 👋

Members of the Cisco Crisis Response team and some incredible volunteers recently came together in San Jose for hands-on training, teamwork, and plenty of time getting to know the technology that helps us bring critical connectivity to communities when it matters most.

And apparently, the NERV wanted a team photo, too.

Preparedness doesn’t happen when a crisis begins. It starts long before.

Recently, members of the Cisco Crisis Response team were in San Jose for hands-on training with volunteers—working with equipment, sharpening skills, and practicing what it takes to rapidly deploy connectivity when communities need it most.

Because when every minute matters, preparation matters, too.

A little behind-the-scenes look at the team putting in the work.

Responsible AI shouldn't stop at theory. Learn how Cisco Crisis Response partner Kobo successfully deployed AI-assisted humanitarian data collection during the 2026 Mozambique floods while keeping privacy and human oversight front and center.

In a humanitarian crisis, good data is essential, but collecting it responsibly is as critical as collecting it fast. Our partner Kobo is using responsible AI to help field teams collect humanitarian data quickly — and safely.

What does it take to stay connected when it matters most? Last week in Krakow, our Cisco Crisis Response (CCR) community volunteers rolled up their sleeves to find out.

From mastering the technical basics—like hands-on ethernet cable crimping—to diving into the advanced capabilities of our Mesh Response Kits (MRK) with the help of our technical team, this group is now better equipped to support local municipalities with emergency communications when crises strike.

Beyond the technical training, the highlight was seeing the team connect and share ideas during their inaugural training. Building a strong, collaborative network of responders is just as vital as the technology we deploy.

Huge thanks to our volunteers for their dedication and energy (some have been assisting since 2022!) ❤️We’re proud to see this team growing and ready to serve when the community needs us most.

Making an impact at !

We had an incredible time at the Purpose Pavillon during Cisco Connect Germany 2026! It was so rewarding to connect with so many of you and share how Cisco is using technology for good.

Whether we were discussing the global reach of our CDA interactive map, or the real-world impact of Cisco Crisis Response, the booth was buzzing.

We loved seeing the passion for our mission—especially the customer who proudly added a CCR sticker to their laptop! It’s these moments that remind us why we do what we do, from providing connectivity in emergency situations to helping out at major events.

A special welcome to the new Cisco volunteers who signed up to support our efforts—we can’t wait to work with you!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by to chat, learn, and get involved!

The Cisco NERv has officially left the building (and the parking lot).

After a week of meeting attendees, showing off its technology, posing for photos, and reminding everyone that connectivity can be mission-critical during disasters, it's time for our favorite truck to head home.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Cisco Crisis Response booth, climbed aboard, asked questions, and shared conversations with our team. You helped make an incredible experience.

Don't worry—the NERv isn't retiring. It's just heading off to its next adventure.

Until next time, old friend. 👋
