We are looking to hire software engineers and computer scientists in Cairo with excellent command of English for any of the positions below. The company in Cairo is a subsidiary to a US based Healthcare Artificial Intelligence company.
Salary Range: 12,000 - 25,000 Egyptian Pounds / month (plus bonuses).
1. JavaFX: Experience with developing JavaFX based desktop applications. Experience with Hibernate. Salary: 12,000 - 18,000
2. NLP: Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP). Experience with SRL, ontologies, logic and inference is a plus. Salary: 15,000 - 25,000.
3. OCR: Experience with computer vision (e.g., OpenCV), especially in OCR (e.g., Tesseract). Salary: 15,000 - 25,000.
4. PhD: Research scientist with a PhD from top US universities (or equivalent), publications, and work experience in one of these areas: 1) NLP (specifically semantic technologies like SRL, knowledge representation, ontologies and inference, semantic search, or QA); and 2) Computer Vision (especially OCR and Document Image Analysis). Salary: negotiable.
As an NLP or OCR hire, you'll be trained and guided by a team of AI scientists, but you're also expected to be an independent thinker. Any experience with UMLS (medical ontology) is a huge plus. Experience at a big company (e.g., Microsoft Egypt), publications, and/or a Masters degree is a plus.
