P3iD is proud to be assisting the TWAIN Working Group in their efforts to create and utilize valuable business data for important use cases for workflow automation and now creating intelligent Artificial Intelligence solutions.

(Post 5 of 5 - "Data") Over the next few days the TWAIN Working Group has shared our thoughts and reasoning for our updated logo and new tagline. We invite your feedback and LinkedIn comments below, plus we would really appreciate your support as we debut our expanded charter to help drive innovation in the data intelligence industry!

After much deliberation and thoughtful discussion, the TWAIN Working Group has updated its legacy logo and introduced a new tagline: "Promoting Standards for Secure Image Data". This change reflects our expanded mission of embracing and supporting significant industry standards. It also honors TWAIN’s rich history while showcasing our forward-looking vision. Below is the reasoning behind the our selection of the second word of "Data" in our new tagline:

DATA – Images are critical for collaboration and efficiency, but the data within or about those images often holds even greater value. TWAIN and its ecosystem of capture, IDP, and document management companies excel at collecting, understanding, and leveraging image data. This expertise positions us to support emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI). By enabling distributed image capture, validating clean data, and generating metadata-rich datasets, we help organizations build robust AI systems and large language models. As data becomes the "new gold," TWAIN’s expertise ensures our industry can contribute valuable insights to these transformative technologies.

As a Board Member and active participant in the TWAIN Working Group, P3iD is proud to be working with many terrific companies and lots of dedicated, creative and innovative people, to bring together a thriving ecosystem around TWAIN Direct and PDF/R.

With this recent announcement of TWG joining the RISC-V International ecosystem, professionally managed by The Linux Foundation, we are super excited to be involved in a broader community that we can collaborate and bring secure intelligent data for business efficiency, but more importantly change the world for better.

Critical business decisions, life-changing scientific discoveries and amazing insights, are all the result of intelligent data and it's not a stretch to know that over the past 25+ years of the trillions of pages scanned using TWAIN technology, that we contributed in digitizing paper to electronic that resulted in data, that then had good outcomes. The future is very bright indeed where we can do even more with AI and LLM's with data provided via TWAIN Direct and PDF/R!

P3iD Technologies is pleased to announce a new and very useful capability to provide Content Authenticity for digital content and images from Truepic. We have added Truepic's Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA) viewing to our P3iD ScanBot document scanning application.

Now, with P3iD ScanBot, you can unify all of your digital onramp content, whether it's captured from smartphone cameras, document scanners or multifunction copy machines. After capture then we automatically embed C2PA and can verify critically important details about the images, video or audio. These Content Credentials describe, in detail, the original source, as well as any changes to the content during it's lifecycle so this is an excellent application for many use cases including document archive, digital forensics or collaborative workflow.
