HSC Status Update

Hello HSC Customers,

We are pleased to announce the sale of HSC Electronic Supply to Excess Solutions of San Jose. Keeping this valuable resource in Silicon Valley was important to us. The area needs an immediate walk-in source to satisfy the builders, innovators, enthusiasts, and supporters of the local hardware industry. The combination of the two companies under one roof will help service this need.

Excess Solutions has been a local leader in retail/wholesale sales of surplus electronic parts and equipment for over 29 years. They have a huge showroom at 1555 S. 7th St. in San Jose, kitty-corner from CEFCU Spartan Stadium. They offer great prices and a large selection of components, equipment, server racks, tech benches, industrial surplus, free ewaste dropoff (except monitors) and more.

Starting Saturday, March 16 you’ll start to find 1000’s of popular items from HSC available at Excess Solutions and over the next 30-60 days the full integration will be complete. Stay tuned for a Grand Re-Opening Sale once the dust settles and hopefully a new big Annual Parking Lot Sale in September. If you haven’t been getting HSC emails, be sure to sign up on the HSC or ES websites home page.

Halted Specialties Co. Inc. was founded in 1964, changing our retail store names to HSC Electronic Supply when we added the Sacramento and Santa Rosa stores (now closed) in the early 1980’s. Halted will continue selling on eBay and wholesale but is selling the HSC Electronic Supply store, website, and all related assets to Excess Solutions. We look forward to working with Excess Solution to help in its’ success as the last of the Silicon Valley surplus retail operations.

The central San Jose location is certainly convenient for those of you in San Jose but some may feel a bit far for those in the North Valley. It is with sincere regret that we are announcing the final days for HSC in Silicon Valley. After 54 years we will be closing our doors for the final time on Saturday, January 12, 2019. We hope you can stop by or visit our website and stock up on high tech goodies one last time. The deals will be better than ever! We really appreciate your patronage.
