April's HOA President's Newsletter.
A healthy friendship is one where you share your true feelings without fearing the end of the relationship. It's also one where you sometimes have to let things that bug you slide. The tough moments will make you wiser about yourself and each other. They will also make you stronger and closer as friends. ~ Rachel Simmons ~
The fourth month of the year and I’m pretty sure there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Keep it up, folks! Looks like the vaccine is getting pushed out fast to more places! And hopefully, by summer, we’ll be in good shape to hang out (almost) anywhere we want!
Lately, there have been some residents that seem to be taking up visitor parking spaces for an extended period of time. And also parking in the streets is becoming an issue again. Now, we all know the rules and regulations when we signed our resident contracts. You know, if you are just parking out for a bit, that’s cool. But if you take up the visitor’s parking spaces for an extended period of time, that means actual visitors of your neighbors have nowhere close to park. So, please have the courtesy of only taking up visitor spaces only if you need to. This also goes for parking in the street. The rules are, basically, park only in the street so that you can unload to bring stuff into your house. Parking in the street is not so that friends and/or family can spend time with you and your family. 15 to 20 minutes is the time allotted for street parking.
Once again, if you have seen any other issues in the park that concern you, please let us know. Remember, the first step is to let the Park Office know. And please keep the HOA in the loop so that we can follow up on them.
Unfortunately, sometimes, change has to come.
As of April 30th, I will be leaving my position as President of the HOA Board. We’ve all heard or know someone that has been hit in certain ways by this pandemic. Mine, unfortunately, has me moving away to stabilize our situation. It has been a pleasure and privilege to work with and for the HOA here at Chateau La Salle. Being that I’ve been a resident here for almost 20 years, I have that feeling that I am leaving home, again. Please know that you are in good hands with the remaining HOA Board.
Joan, Steve, Vikki, Brian & Sue, Thank You very much for having me as both a board member and friend!
We are still looking for residents to fill out our HOA roster! If you feel that you may be interested in working with the HOA to be part of our Resident Advocacy Group, please let us know if you are interested.
Gonna keep these items in the newsletter…..just because this is stuff you need to know.
If you can, talk with your primary physician to see when you can be scheduled for the COVID Vaccine.
Something new! If you want to be put on a “Stand-By” list for the vaccine, go to this website and register: https://hidrb.com/
Some of the vaccines have to be kept at a very low temperature. And once they are ready for use, they cannot be refrozen. So this site will register you so that you will be texted when there are doses of the vaccines that haven’t been used yet. But must be used ASAP. Go there and read up on this.

FYI - Download “CA Notify” onto your smartphone. This App uses Bluetooth to see if there is someone near you, while you are out and about, within 6’ of you for more than 15 minutes. That way, if a person tests positive for Covid, and you have been close to in the recent past, you will be notified.
There is still a Santa Clara sponsored testing facility in the parking lot across from the Santa Clara Fairgrounds main entrance.
Here is the link for the survey and get an appointment.

They do take most insurance.
Also, I've found out from my doctor that I can get a Covid home test that I can administer myself. And then return the test back to my doctor. The two times I’ve done it, my test came back to me in two days!
REMEMBER! Wear a mask. Wash your hands! Social Distance!
These steps work!
The Owners & Management understand that there are many of the residents that are going through a time in which you may have been let go from your job, have had your hours reduced, or have been furloughed at a lower salary. Please contact the office by phone and discuss this with park management to work out a payment plan for your space rent and utilities.
Please remember that there is a moratorium in place forbidding eviction for the time being. BUT that still means that you need to work out rent payment.
FYI Also - The Park office has been maintaining normal business hours and all residents can contact the Park office via phone as before. Remember, the Clubhouse will be closed to everyone until this pandemic is over to make sure that there will be limited personal contact. Please contact the Park Staff if you are experiencing an issue within the park.
As always, please remember that you can contact us a few ways.
Contact us on our HOA members phone numbers
Leave us a message on our CLS HOA page
And still, unfortunately, because of the pandemic, we are still suspending our monthly in-person meetings until the Clubhouse opens again.
